you need to go to your User Account in XMB and select Redeem code from there. The code didn't work for me in the PSN Store but did in the Redeem Code option in XMB. I believe this was the same for the GoW3 demo
I actually think Soda and a few other xbox guys (like xbox oz and xdf) here are quite neutral and rational when it comes to single console ownership.
Of course there are quite a bit of crazies on both sides and they stand out more, but there are a couple good single console guys here xbox or ps3.
@Sarick
I believe it's because in real life you can turn your steering wheel a couple full rotations, but on the controller you're limited to the millimeters from center to the edge of the circumference the joystick is allowed to tilt to.
If it took a 180 degree rotation to make your real-life car turn left, and this was applied midway on the joystick then ok. But simulate that same method at higher speeds and moving your joystick midway at 100 mph+ would make it di...
@OpticalMatrix
and the sad thing is they're just getting back to WinMo now that blackberries/smartphones are the newest must-haves for casuals. What they should've done was continue support and improving it, but no they only thought to do so once the market share for smartphones skyrocketet and was no longer meant for "just" the business power users.
MS ain't all that bad, but to believe they are as innocent or as innovative as the other guys out there is...
it's strange reading this review from them because wasn't it them that gave a positive remark for the preview hands-on article of WKC?
dude XBL is like TEN. Total Entertainment Network. You remember that? Except Ten was for PCs since we were still gaming on 28-56k, SNES and barely the PS1 during the time.
crazy dialup modems making those shrieking noises. I remember cindy margolis pictures took 1-3 minutes to load on AOL 1.0 back then. *evil laugh*
Funny that I would rather believe the MS VP than anyone else here on N4G when talking about MS innovating and crap. Even Danny Choo thinks the same way and he worked at MS before.
Here.. quote from his website.
"There are a few things that I can probably publicly talk about Microsoft without getting in trouble."
"MS generally treat their employees very well - once you get a job at Microsoft, you can probably stay there for life. I didn't ...
All the Genesis Sonics were good except for the one on 32X and maybe Sonic CD. I liked the dreamcast Sonic Adventure but all the rest of the Sonics later sucked hard.
I hope this one returns to the 2D roots with high-def graphics of course.
^ agreed, now people are just saying it's really a 6 m headstart is just being delusional. What they're gonna say MS PR was wrong and vgchartz was right? I'd take the words of the more credible source.
Well from what I remember in articles here, they said they were ahead 8 million and how other media outlets were claiming the same thing. So to shrink it down to 5 isn't too bad. Needless to say, it's possible that 5 could've been a 3 if not for the recent ~500k-1mil (whatever the number truly is) ban and RROD fiasco.
wrong on that buddy, even flash on snow leopard is bad. load up a flash site on any browser (chrome, ff, safari, opera, ie) and check activity monitor and the cpu/mem usage will shoot up and the temp will even rise.
poor excuses maybe but I agree about the flash videos overtaking quicktime and flash games.... but if you're a mac user you would know Adobe support when it comes to Flash for the Mac environment is piss poor. The plugin crashes often and it's a memory hog. Works fine on Windows yes, but their port to the Mac screams of poor quality. Adobe has that stupid "oh we can't do jack cuz Apple won't let us" BS, but really if that's the case why haven't they released a freaking memory eff...
Verizon with Droid Eris or Moto droid. Moto droid has a keyboard.
At the moment, Nexus 1 or iPhone? Nexus 1 on T-mo? Hell no. iPhone it is.
In the future, unlocked Nexus 1 on Verizon ... but the Moto droid has a physical keyboard and Droid Eris is dirt cheap. Moto droid it is.
Not sure why the hype for the Nexus 1. It was supposed to be a spectacular device when engadget covered leaks of it, but really with the unvealing and specs, it's nothing the Mo...
strong sexual content caught my eye.
The maxipad may not tickle many people's fancies, but I suspect that when it rolls onto the hands of consumers, the apple product will revolutionize the way we design the user interfaces for tablet os environments in the future.
You have to think... current pc slate demos such as the HP slate utilize Windows 7 touch capabilities, but Windows 7 is still an OS designed with the keyboard and mouse in mind. HP Slate would look incredibly sexy if it had the Surface UI.
the kindle doesn't really have "free" 3G. I read an article about it somewhere but part of the cost of an ebook you purchase off the Kindle store pays for the whispernet bandwidth.
The kindle does have a google search and experimental web browser, but it's really only good for sites that are heavy with text and/or optimized for kindle.
I would think you'd have a more pleasant experience browsing the web with an iPhone than you do with the kindle.
The device (and like many other devices out there) is really good for certain necessities, just like you would purchase a Kindle if you wanted an e-reader. It wouldn't make sense to purchase a Kindle to use whispernet for google searches. You'd use a computer for that.
I think many people that are against this device is because most of us hoped it would be an actual Tablet computer and not just an oversized iPod touch. Now it would've been an actual tablet computer if it had M...
Engadget has a video of it running youtube. The original price I think for the iPod when it first came out was about $499.
I think that's standard fare when it comes to 1st gen Apple media products. Maybe this maxipad will go down in price after a couple revisions.
Anyway, not supporting flash is bad but at the same time that's Adobe's call. They've never really been supportive in bringing a proper working (Crash-free) Flash product to Apple computers.
Judging by the comments I would say Hoops is anti-Apple.
Talk about netbooks, I have a Samsung one and the Acer you can get off woot. I don't even understand what's the point of the newer netbooks that are coming out. The original idea that Asus brought over with the Eee was that it's for simple web browsing, email, word processing hence the term "netbook"
After the first generation Eees, other companies started thinking up ways to prolong the battery l...
I thought SE said there wouldn't be any DLC for FF13 or maybe that was some other game.
