snaz, increasing the resolution wouldn't really benefit most of us here. I don't really see much of a difference between 720p and 1080p aside from sharper text. But do I really care for sharper smaller text? ME2 was a bit difficult to read.
I think when the majority of us start having 60inch+ tvs, that's when 1080p will really outshine 720p. For now 720p is fine on my 40in.
Also, the fps they said was purposely lowered in some parts for cinematic effect. Sorta...
^ what he said.
Afterall, the system just needs the data from the gyros and the spatial information of the sphere. Not that taxing on a system.
Maybe they didn't cut down production rates. Maybe it's been the same all along. Or maybe they're running low on Cell BE chips. Didn't they sell off a production facility to Toshiba a long while back?
Seeing as to how Nintendo also has a shortage, I would say there's a high probability Sony does indeed have a shortage (not from holding supply back) and is having difficulty supplying from overseas. There is indeed a shortage here as many online retailers and even local retai...
There's a difference between no lag as stated by Ars and the "lag" that IGN reported. Apparently, IGN doesn't understand that a hold in the Motion Fighters tech demo is akin to a hold in any other game where interaction is at a minimal hence no 1:1, e.g., pressing O/B to hold an enemy and mashing X/A to continue attacking during the hold. Of course, IGN interprets this as "lag" and not as a design issue.
so do people here know just what stores exactly NPD track?
It'd be silly to look at statistics given to us on fruits if we're comparing apples to oranges and only 6 out of 10 stores total tracked seem to only carry apples over oranges. Likewise it's sorta silly comparing the # of Honda cars vs Toyota cars sold in the Alhambra-Pasadena-El Monte regions only, because there are more Toyota dealerships than there are Honda. Not to mention the biggest Toyota dealership (Longo) eas...
PS3 no shortages? Go to walmart. Go to target. Gamestop. Bestbuy.
Only place that I know that has some PS3s is Fry's.
Hey! Chris Nuttall can be pronounced as Chris Natal!
I'd like to see a real live camera recording of anything related to these motion control toys. Anything pre-recorded isn't enough to convince me it works. They're more like just smoke screens.
It's funny how when videos of the Move surface of how it works, people quickly assume you need to purchase extra Moves for your legs to jump or kick. Did people forget the PSeye could be used to track things other than the Move, making the Move not entirely necessary for a game? At least the Move has buttons, analog, and ... vibrates.
I'd take any feedback over no feedback at all. Ever use those virtual projected keyboards (
I can't help but think with companies going towards the 3D motion control route, that the next generation of consoles will become 3D motion control standard.
It seems that if PS4 does come out, the Move is the transition to saying goodbye to the Dualshock controller. Does this mean we'll be having more fps-style motion enabled fighters and no more 2D traditional ones?
I assume that's why Nintendo made their WiiMote button configuration the way it is so that the hori...
as long as they don't use bluray, they can continue holding back bluray. Haha.
well they coulda used more discs but something about they'll be charged if they use more than 3.
you can see the cracks in the skin and beard follicles on the ps3 version in that pic.
It's nice that Valve is bringing their selection to Macs, but it's not like Macs never had any games or rarely had any ever. Even when there are PC games that just aren't available to Macs, the community is there and have brought those games over. Fallout 3, Borderlands, Test Drive Unlimited, Pure, Burnout, Oblivion, Torchlight, Dawn of Discovery, Settlers, Dragon Age, Mass Effect... all have been brought to the Mac community awhile back thanks to people who were determined to make them wor...
Well you 'can' customize a Mac a bit, but not too much to the flexibility of Windows. Then again some aspects of it is easier to customize than on Windows side.
I think those that never really tinkered into a Mac [more than a couple minutes of looking at the OS at Bestbuy and walking away] are generally the type that are quick to assume Mac is for simple-minded PC newbies with the hipster logo slapped onto their forehead.
I know several friends of mine who program f...
You're not really tricking anyone Strike. I think lots of people know your preference here.
The night racing headlights/lights look great... but the projection is a bit off. On the last night scene (0:33), the light projected on the ground is too close to the bumpers, almost like there were foglights on. Not like it detracts from the overall beauty of the game, but I'm just peeved by these little inaccuracies.
Go turn on your headlights at night with the fogs off, you'll notice a little 1-2 feet of unlit dark area in front of the bumpers to where the light finally li...

@Xiphos
I wonder whose Titan's hand was that? I guess rigor mortis doesn't apply to titans.
lol those of you that say this is on PS3 because of some $ behind the back are hilarious. It's not hard to see why it's on PS3 considering the amount of titles Atlus, NIS, and From Software have released on the platform. The PS3 just seems to be their thing.
