No it's not because we like to hate on anything popular but it is because it is popular that there can be so many haters. Just think about it, popular --> more people playing --> more people disliking. Plus with so many changes from previous games, of course a lot of people are gonna hate. In my view, they just took one of my favorite series and made it boring, of course I'm annoyed.
I personally disliked it because the game made everything a hassle to do. Drivi...
no? play Alan Wake.
inFamous is a bit static at times but it has a little bit of fluidity at times. Alan Wake's is very robotic.
This is dumb. I figured the new redesign was some type of new character. I wouldn't mind a new main character but to say that he is Cole ruined a lot of it for me.
Why do people wish for these "pretty boys". They say dark and gritty but I see weak and coward. Cole looked a lot more raw and dark then this character for sure. These Tom Cruise wannabes should stop. Btw, in case its not obvious I hate Tom Cruise.
I was hopeful but my hopes just went in the garbage can. I wish the game was faster and went for that arcady feel like in PES 09. PES 10 was so slow it bored me to death. PES 11 seems to be the same.
I'll be passing on this year's offering like last time. Maybe I'll stick with Fifa World Cup when it's cheap (FIFA 10 is boring like hell as well).
I agree with lots of you. I enjoyed Haze as well as Socom Confrontation. If these games interest you, there's a good chance you like em.
I haven't tried the other games though so I can't comment on them. I did try Lair demo (Hong Kong PSN) and it was decent but it was difficult to adjust myself to the Sixaxis controls. I imagine the game is much more approachable with the patch that allows for traditional controls (analog sticks and etc).
The vocal people are usually the minority. Even though they say it's dead and all that stuff, they have nothing to go on but terrible data. Naughty Dog has already said (in an interview) that they heard all the complaints but commented the number of players has actually increased. In other words the majority liked it.
I can put forth another example. Before SOCOM Confrontation came out, everyone said how they all loved SOCOM 2 more than SOCOM Confrontation, can anyone gue...
UFC brand might be much bigger than its closest competitor but that doesn't mean that there exist a market for another. DREAM and StrikeForce both have some of the toughest fighters out there and they all have fans. Plus UFC 2010's singleplayer (modes) sucked (it pushed me away at least), which leaves an opening for EA MMA.
Getaway wasn't even in production. The Getaway though, was pretty far along but come on, if you've seen the leaked footage you'll agree that apart from the potentially best cover system out there, it did not carry much else. Also, let's not forget that the technology can still be used so we probably will see it in some shape or form.
Also for those not believing in Shuhei Yoshida, he has worked with Playstation and Sony probably just as long as Phil. While I a...
Totally agree, I thought it looked a lot worse by the screenshots but when I looked at the video, the difference was negligible. I was going to play this on my 360 but now I might just get this on the PS3 with the exclusive content and the fact that it supports in-game custom music. I know 360 has the latter too but from what I remember, the 360 mutes pretty much all the game's sounds while the PS3 doesn't (I could be wrong though).
@UltraNova
Uhm, how does that quote say anything about the interview. Anyone with a dedicated fanboy mind like you could've written that within a second. In fact, that is what you would've written if you were an ignorant fanboy like you. You just proved my point. Seriously, think about what you're writing for a minute or two will you.
Oh and btw, I hate Valve.
yeah seriously, i've been playing the demo continuously and I was really considering buying it. Now, as a principle, I won't buy it at all, ever! EA Sports and UFC can go kick themselves in the ass, I'm done with them.
For those that didn't watch the interview and are bashing Gabe ignorantly with stuff like "stfu already". Gabe Newell REALLY did not want to touch on the topic of PS3, and even though he could've avoided it he did not seem wanting to disrespect the interviewers.
On a side note, I'll mention that Gabe actually said Sony was going in the right direction. So there you go. I'll suggest you guys (who bashes so blindly) should start to go straight to the s...
I agree
and add that to the fact that EA is still in trouble financially
Lets not get too carried away with the scores. GTA IV was a big letdown (at least for me).
Only a fanboy would get annoyed enough to create an article about other fanboys.
I actually got an email from XFX where they said this graphics card was stolen. They said it was #68 or something. Actually here is one of the emails I got.
Dear XFX Followers,
Thank you for participating in our latest XFX HD 5970 Black Edition Limited marketing campaign. Thanks to you, our Gamertainment Campaign was a huge success.
We received thousands of e-mails from fans giving us leads as to where to find our illusive product #68.

This type of DRM has been used ever since Warhawk came along. The only thing new about this article is that this DRM is now being used in Third Party Games. Previously it was found only in Sony games, most notably Warhawk, SOCOM and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (maybe Wipeout?).
Bungie should've taken a higher road no? Or I should say Luke Smith. To be fair he has always been an asshole, even during his 1up years. I guess this is what happens when people speak without thinking (goes to both Luke and HHG).
I had them deactivate my accounts just fine. Though my cousin did experience difficulties when he tried to call in.
Morgan is kind of right but at the same time 3D will eventually become the standard and it has to start somewhere. This is like saying that eight years ago industries should never have entered HD gaming/movies since no one has it, which would mean HD would never exist. Lets face it, both HD and 3D technologies have existed for many many years, and its because no one has been willing to invest in them that they have never taken off.
Only true visionaries will invest, James Cam...
