this has to be the most retarted thing i have read in ahile. however after reading it (ignoring the point of this guys story) the game sounds kind of fun. i hadn't heard of it before but an evil sonic with a gun sounds like a potentially fun game being able to choose a good or evil path.
the XBL update is enhancements features. but yeah i agree about all the games coming this month. if the patch comes today though i can play some more saints row MP for a week until GOW arrives.
EA publishes good games? they make fun games sure but good implies it is fun yet challenging. the only challenge in EA games is getting past all the bugs and glitches. if you thought BF2 on a console had a rough start you should have played it on the PC when it came out. EVERY game EA makes is horribly horribly glitchy and buggy and they don't try very hard to fix it either, BF1942 wasn't a stable game till almost 8months after it came out. then you have that option. i bought the recharge kit for the 360 and works wonderfully. that is the thing about the 360 you have choice. i didn't want to go the rechargable battery route and wanted something i could recharge on the fly etc... so i bought the recharge kit and it is awsome. charges while you play and charges when the console is off if you want it to and it will last about 10hrs of long gaming before you have to charge again.
yeah that sucks but who really cares. do you know how many xbox games i play on the 360, zero.
BC is not really that important. if you are buying a next gen system and playing last gen games, then you bought the wrong next gen system because you are playing old games instead of new ones.

why would want video chat in a game (unless in the lobby or something). i don't get it. the 360 camera already does video chat. just like normal voice it is simply a channel in the side menu. i don't know how that works when you are playing a game but cross game chats with friends works AWSOME. unless it is a poker game (which the 360 already has a game out that has video in the game) i don't see why you would want to see video of someone while playing?

i would say boycott the ps3 because if sony wins this generation and beat down the competition gamers lose. sony is about as inventive as a cup holder, they get their ideas from their competitors and if their competitors leave they will make the gaming market stale.
they started development of the 360 not long after the xbox launched,,, continued R&D is a normal process of any company, well any company looking to stay in an industry.
in relation to the xfire stuff i understand that the Api might be free but xfire is not going to let ps3 users on their network for free, that doesn't make sense. i would think ps3 users would have sign up for an xfire account. the only way i could see it being free was if the game developer was paying xfire for the games to connect that would come from the price of the game?
Lair looks cool. i think there is alot of potential there. As for the other games, ehh none of them look that interesting except motostorm. As for all the fanboys, you haven't played the ps3 games either so your opinion on how good they are just as invalid as people ripping on them.

if you have any sony products (i do) that require software you know sony can not write application software at all, it is horrible. my point is don't expect any super duper announcement, what you are seeing is probably what you are getting.
i agree with most people, i didn't like the practice of it with the 360 last year (remember the guy selling the box) the capitolist in me would say to buy a ps3 try and sell it for 2 or 3x the price on ebay if it sells, great, if it doesn't you have a console.
i won't do it because although it makes business/financial sense it is just an unethical and jerkish thing to do.
yeah the SD card caught my attention also. i bought a 1GB SD card for my camera for $60 last month. unless there is something proprietary about it their SD card is a rip off.
As for the 360 vs Ps3 arguement i like that fact that i can buy onto the 360 what i need and not what a company thinks i want. when i got the 360 i didn't use wirless, a year later i did so i bought the nic, same with the HDMI. my current TV doesn't have an HDMI input, if a year or so down the road i buy one that does it is great i can buy a cable to do it, but as for now i don't have the input so i don't need the cable hence i am not spending money on something i am using.

I don't think you see it. last year every 360 was sold (trust me i waited in line for 14hrs to get one) out. this christmas they will still be the lone next gen machine since the PS3 isn't shipping in large numbers (which the 360 will) along with some killer games and the fact MS now has the 360 is many more markets this year. they were at 6mill this summer they will easily reach 10 after christmas.
they are starting to market GOW pretty hard now and that will sell millions on it own, ...
yeah but someone who has alot of windows in their living room with alot of natural light might be hosed. not that i am getting a wii because i am older than 12 but if i could only play it at night because my 2 story windows in my living room let in too much light for it, i would be pissed.
there is a reason sony has lost its edge in other markets, i have a sony music player and i could write several pages on how much it sucks, i am not an ipod fan but the ipod is 100x better than sony in that market. they obviously relied on name recognition and not features, solid software etc... it worked obviously i bought one but i won't make that mistake again.
as for MS, if you have any knowledge of MS business practices you know they are relentless and will stop at nothing...
