it is taste also, they cater to their own because that is what they mainly like.example i for one can not stand japanese style games so i could care less what they think.
japan is historically biased tword their own though in every industry, auto, electronics etc.. so it should surprise anyone to see them biased in the video game industry also
there are alot of faults in that i don't want to spend the time going through it.

no it doesn't have a barring on if people will buy. it is kinda interesting though. the original xbox was giant but once you hook up your console you never really think about it again.
agreed until people become fully comfortable with digital distribution (years down the road) the only thing that will work is the Live arcade. people don't seem to have a problem buying a $4 game (i have many), start plopping $60 down though and it becomes and issue.

responding to this comment only you obviously aren't objective. look at what sony put up at TGS and compare that to the actual game play shown at X06. I am sick of pre-rendered trailers and showing the actual game with someone actually playing it and it looks like the pre-rendered stuff. granted not all games but at x06 there were alot more playable games and they were alot better than anything i saw from tgs. And yes i watched as much from both as i could.

i highly doubt sony could come close to live. MS has had alot of time and feed back to really mature the product and offer some awsome features (demos rock, save me money from buying bad games or get me excited about games i might have never looked at)

fix the game? the game rocks, i have a ton of fun playing saints row every night. the only thing i could see them "fixing" is making the multiplayer match making faster.
i can't wait for the next couple of days since most of the games they showed today are PLAYABLE tomorrow.
yeah the CGI for halo wars got me jacked also. i love RTS games and the idea of one in the halo universe gives me goose bumps thinking about it.

i used to believe that also, RTS games belonged on the PC but if you have played lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2 they controls are really well done.
watching the gameplay during the conference was awsome. that is exactly what i like to see to get me excited about a game, show me someone playing it. ubisoft definitly delivered. i can't wait to play this game.

for this game does it matter? i played the demo and the game isn't fun at all. deleted it in about an hour. the only way this game will sell is if it is cheap. it should be cheaper because it is lower quality.
