yes they are showing assassins creed!
I will be right there with you. those multi-player modes sound like alot of fun
cool, i am excited to see all of those games. would be nice to see something more of halo 3 also.
if we are going to speculate, i say a demo of one level or a demo of one multi-player level.
i agree, i have been saying all along that the wii is a kiddie console like the game cube was. and i don't think the wii will have as much replay value after the initial purchase because the wii-mote is a gimmick. after most kiddies buy it and play a few games they won't continue to buy very many new games because the gimmick will wear off.
wow the fanboyism is in full swing today.
btw they are right it is not a patch it is an upgrade adding features. patches fix current bugs, this is adding features.
fanboyism aside in this post i have to agree with the way people are reading this. 100 titles in the lifespan of the consoles is what they really mean. of coarse you have to consider also what they mean by title, are they talking smaller games also like the xbox live arcade games or full blown titles.
i would rather have 15 AAA titles than 100 whatever games. quality of quanity. this is good but you do have to be skeptical of anything sony says, wait until they deliver.
the trailer looks good. do they have a demo for people at tgs to play the game?
i am curious what the different driving views etc.. are since the video seems to be mostly a replay type of video
everyone is assume this game was running on a PS3 to begin with. i highly doubt it was because they would want to game to look as good as possible and at this stage of development i doubt it has been optimized for the ps3 hardware.
i don't think you are understanding what he means, pausing it and moving the camera doesn't mean jack. i am pretty sure he means taking a gun, playing the level, shooting different people things, actually controlling the character not moving the camera around a pre-scripted scene.
on-topic: i re-watched the video and i am not going to comment on the graphics because of the low-res video but it all seemed very scripted (movements, scenes etc..)
first of all i don't think given the video anyone can say good or bad about the game.
second, it is hard to tell how much of that is not still cut scene but hopefully more videos will follow so people can make informed comments instead of "this is the greatest game since sliced bread, welcome Chang3".
here is some flame bait to ponder though, how do we know that game is running on an actual ps3 or dev kit and not PCs emulating ps3 software or all the other stories that...
i only saw 1 screen shot that looked in game that i don't remember from the trailer. they are so hard to see it is hard to tell anything though. is there supposed to be ingame stuff for this at TGS?
the other great thing about live is that they usually post things in smaller sizes and then also in 720P, that way if you want to see what it is you can download it quicker with the smaller file but if it is a game trailer you want to see in the best quality you have that option also.
probably because like us they know nothing about the ps3 online componant. obviously they have alot of online pieces built (ie 360 version). delay= lost money. blame the bean counters for them not waiting.
if i remember reading something on this a few months ago was that armageddon was for xbox,ps2 etc... and the midway team was just starting to think about a next gen platform title.
sony could start producing and find a major bug but won't stop before they go out the door. if they were to take the right path and just say "hey, we will launch world wide march 07 to make sure quality and quanity is there" their stock would tank because they would miss christmas. problems or not their stock would take a huge hit if they don't hit their mark now.
remember 1.2mil is their estimate, just like 4million or whatever was their estimate 2 weeks ago. it is 11 weeks until the ps3 launches and i read somewhere (correct me if i am wrong) they were starting production the last week of september leaving 8 weeks until launch. so in 8 weeks of production the best they can do is 500k consoles world wide, how in the 6 weeks following launch (the remaining weeks in '06) do they expect to triple that production number and in less time to get to 2million...
loading time is something that is hard to comment on, for one no one has played a ps3 game to know and two it depends on the game and developers. some of the games i have like madden or saints row have pretty fast loading times but i am sure there are 360 games that take awhile to load. the one point you can make is about the read speed etc... where the 360s drive is much faster than the BR drive but if the ps3 game devs do a good job it may not be bad, i guess we find out in november. althou...
because everyone will have gears of war and being playing online that night :-)
yeah the idea the 2 types of cables would ship is a stretch. it isn't a big deal to pick up hdmi cables at best buy.
oh hell yeah all game play!!
