And when it comes to sales either listen to the NPD who track actual video game sales or the manufacturer (except for sony, 400k units at launch, BS). they have huge inventory management systems and they know exactly how many units where built and shipped.

yeah but with the ps2/xbox version you can't wave your arm around your living room like an idiot. i agree though, wii games are very xbox/ps2 looking and should be sold at a price that reflects that.

you are right, nintendo had no choice but to go another direction. developing something to compete with the ps3 and 360 would have cost them a fortine and another loss would have knocked them out for good.
nintendos problem is once the wii gimick is over people won't continue to buy games. casual gamers do not buy games like regular and especially harcore gamers. after the initial sale how many people will keep buying new wii games every month,,, not many.
from what i have read the gundum game is one of the worst launch titles ever, that company had better figure out fast how to make better games and not just riiiidddge racer 2,764.
next gen means everything has to be on another level, cheap unoriginal ps2 games don't hack it this gen.
one thing to consider also is the ps3 launch games should have been better, after the 6 month launch delay of the ps3 they (devs) should have had time to spruce it up. such as some upcoming ps3 games (fight night, blazing angles) those games were made then the devs had another 10 months to make the game better for the ps3.
but you need to keep in mind it is the people making the games not necessarily the hardware. if epic had layed and egg with gears of war everyone would be saying...
yeah took about 5 minutes for me to delete also. demo SUCKED. thank MS for demos though, imagine if someone bought the game, they would have been pissed. if you buy it after playing the demo,,, well as said earlier, people are stupid.
what will be interesting is to see if the 360s japaneese rpg and other japan targeted games increase console sales when they come out.

there is going to be a % of every hardware that is defective that is just a fact of life. it is just sony's bad luck one of them went to a reviewer. until some offical numbers for bad consoles come out i don't think anyone can comment on it being unusually high or common.
at least they admitted and jumped on the problem immediatly, that is good customer service, instead of ho humming around blaming the TV for the problem.

uhh how can they expect a high attach rate. people just dropped $750+tax but console and 1 game (assuming no second controller) another $60 + tax would suck.
ok i think what they mean to say if the attach rate is too high it is because console sales are not keeping up. for example 10 people buy the 360 and buy 5 games each (5 attach rate) good yes?
but if the attach rate goes to 10 it means those people bought 5 more games each (still good). but if the attach rate goes to 2.5 that means they sold 10 more 360s (assuming the new consoles didn't buy any games). if MS stopped selling 360s the attach rate would sky rocket as people who have one ...
oopps. that is the risk of getting a piece of electronics at launch. i wonder what the update was supposed to do? kind of odd to have an update of something that just went out the door, you would think an update wouldn't come for a week or two after launch.
