There is nothing stopping their use of Azure tech for the PS4 version. In the same way you can use Azure tech for any website / app. I strongly suspect the difference though is that MS are paying for the cloud service for the xbox and pc platforms. Obviously someone would have to cover the costs for the ps4 and they are not cheap.
meh I sat refreshing for that! blehhhh
The difference with live action film, as pointed out well in the video is that because of the frame exposure there is motion blur which helps the brain in "Seeing" the motion. Game frames are rendered perfectly with highly defined edges which means the frame change is more pronounced. There was some work done on a star wars game I believe where they showed that 30FPS with motion blur on the frames was as good as 60fps without from a visual smoothness perspective. IIRC.
Source wasnt good on ps3 thats a fact but ps4... its a totally different. Its arguable that out of the two ps4 is the best fit for the source engine given its closer to PC than the one because of the added complication of using the ESRAM.
Do you remember how Valve used to hammer the ps3 in the press... most likely because source just wasnt a good fit for it / there were not enough games running it for value to justify the proper investment in making it compatible fully.
Let Steam update the build. Seems good. Its clearly still some way out, it hasnt come as far in six months as I may have expected it to if I am being fair.
Its running totally maxed out on a 7970 and not causing it any stress at all. I have to say it doesnt look like the screens but it certainly looks solid. Gameplay seems more simmy than I remember. Its quite punishing. Deffo hoping for a ps4 release.
At the last time i was playing it (about six months ago) the actual get a car and bang it around a track was great. I would describe the way it played as rfactor 2 but a bit more solid (read forgiving).
Graphics were really shaping up well. The AI etc at this point was useless.... it was just pile up centeral.
Might update the beta and report back if anyone is interested?
Havent touched the in development version for about six months but I really hope this comes to next-gen. If they can get it out in the first half of 2014 that would be amazing and I have no doubt it would take the crown of the go to racer.
Indeed. And I for one would love to replay the single player in glorious next-Gen fidelity. Would be worth it if for nothing more than a go to game for times when not much is out.
He he I like the term remaster. It makes it sound like a simple process and not the complete rearchatecting that it actually is. Believe me ps3 to ps4 is almost a rewrite at least in terms of structure. Games that already have a pc version however... that would be easier. Now I say this but then we know that nds engine runs on both ps3 and ps4 so if the hooks are the same for the way the game layer slots into the engine ports of things like unchartered etc are not all that out of the questio...
technically there is not a chance.
Also if they could emulate - which they certainly cannot. Disc based games would work just as well as DC.
yes that was my interpretation too. Given that Gaiki is a bit of a way off / only for the US.
I assume this means things like indie titles that are available on both platforms.
*note article will not load for me at this time so not read it*
If it is games that exist on both platforms this could be a slip that GTA5 is coming to NG.
Unless you mean game launch not console launch...
I don't think this game is due for a while. Certainly 2014.
Its not strictly true. While to the low leve layman IT guy Cloud does = server in real engineering terms it is much more. The difference between the cloud and a rack of servers is significant.
With the cloud you have, essentially layers which act as a service. So at the very bottom you have the physical hardware. Then the platform. Then ontop of that the actual application layer. The beauty is that any platform layer can scale across as many or as few physical hardware units...
Conspiracy theory.. Ubi don't want two very similar games going up against each other?
This will surely boost ac4 sales...
Keep in mind that Amazon are tax dodgers. They are just passing on some of that tax dodging to you.
I am all sorted but for others benifit have you used them and verified legit? while the site looks solid the whois has it registerd to a flat in deepest north london. No disrespect meant to the site I big thumbs up anyone for doing a startup but my many years of ebaying has just taught me to be cautious of sites etc who dont seem to have a proper business address. The sites contact address is also a house but having said that they wouldnt put it up if they were not legit would they?
Ill add though that service level is important. I used to use GAME online exclusively. Remember when they had that site revamp and literally nothing worked for months? that was enough to make me stop using them. Thats why PR, and trust is gold to these retailers.
Hey i am no reacher I am totally unbias, infact I am a little pro sony at the moment. But dont be fooled, Sony looked at the no DRM approach as a PR win. All the evidence is there, dont be blind and look at the evidence, the DRM disc patents, the specific answers to interview questions. Its all there. Thank god they didn't but dont assume they didn't want to.
It will scale to whatever you set the output of your ps4 to be. if you only have 720 you set it to 720. Most TVs that have HD ready are 720 but will downscale a 1080 signal. So you can either downscale it in the ps4 or output 1080 to the tv and have that do it.
