Yeah I saw that and was like "but its the same price". We have been to loads of supermarkets and shops in the uk over the last week aa have been travelling around and every single one had xbos stacked to the rafters. Means nothing as ever ms might have crazy ass supply but its very telling. P.s. absolutely no ps4s in stock anywhere.
Good artical for those of us considering picking up an xbox one as a second console. I am so so so tempted but logic says wait till 2015.
Assassins could work really well if they just stick to the historic part. It would make a great series as they could just do unique stories in different time periods with the thread between films just being the assassins v templars.
On an ot note - has anyone seen the email chain in ac iv where someone questions why they never do more recent synchronisations and the answer is because they dont want to have to update the animas software for motorised vehicles etc. I am suprise...
From the shops perspective you can see why they do it. If they dont have a ps4 to sell tou its likely you will buy elsewhere. They so have xbox ones and if you buy they get their margin so they are going to push it. Been out today and they are literally running out of places to put x1s instore here in the uk. Ms must have a seriously good supply to keep shops in so much stock ;-)
Remember though on pc the memory is split unto two. The ddr ram that is used to hold all of the objects and assets then the video gddr memory that is used for textures and graphics work such as AA etc. You might be hitting 4.5gb ram then 2gb video ram which combined will be in the range of the consoles limit. There are savings on the console though as the unified memory means we are not holding things in both main ram and graphics ram as on the pc.

On controller arguments I think its just what your used to. Having been an avid xbox pad fan for years I switched to ps4 and liked the pad. After a month I used the 360 again and now prefer the ps4 one. As I say I think people will just prefer whatever they are most used to.
Here in the uk you can literally walk into any shop and buy an Xbox one now. Its been this way since the week before xmas. It tells us nothing as we don't know the supply of course. I nearly got one but couldn't justify the second console at this point. P.s. I am yet to see a ps4 available on the shelf without a sold out sticker on it.
I am not sure if all console games ever woll. If you were making a game where framerate wasnt the be all and end all (say assassins) you are always going to be tempted to take that double render time ans pretty up the frame with it surely?

I would be really interested in seeing a totally different approach to the delivery of GT for the ps4. It would be really interesting to just have GT. No game numbers as such just a persistent experience that evolves with time. I.e. They could have started at launch with "GT World" for free with a handful of tracks and maybe 50 or so cars. I dont really want to see it go into a pay to win mechanic but some kind of system where 3/4 new packs come out each year that bring something fr...
Clearly not played it at 1080 on ps4 then? Forget the screen grabs and youtube vids, the new gen is of a fidelity that it has to be played and felt nativly. Its the first gen to be fair where I have felt the games looked better than expected rarther than worse.
I have said it before and ill say it again. They have a five year plan for GTA online. The only way to do that is to move it to next gen.
I dont think R* would do it but it would be a bold move for them to introduce GTA online as a F2P.

I guess they put their effort where the most sales will be initially then mop up the other platforms after. Given the lack of games at the mo though I would expect a high sale per user figure for ng.
ditto, thank god for ps+ cloud backup, managed to download it again. So if you go to continue and it just says new game dont start a new one, go to ps+ and download the old save :o)

Played it maxed out on pc last year, highly recommend if you haven't played it yet. Me? I'll save my pennies for the thief/metal gear/infamous trio.
