Be warned too... as they are American and based there this is "as applicable by US law" no matter where you are from. And anyone who follows things knows how much data they have opened up in the name of fighting "terrorism" (imaginary or otherwise).

I concur. Yes... its not all about power and resolution I agree but... it is about the principle of paying more for less.
RE: 4)
I think it was a choice more to go with the CHEAPER to buy DDR3 which because of its bandwidth limits the number of CU's that its feasible to run. As they talked about with all the "Balance" stuff, more is not better for them because the poor memory situation means they cannot feed them. Thats specific to the One not console design in general. They then bolt on the ESRAM as a means of trying to minimize the damage done by running ram that is seriously not...
which is great if you live in the US. If you don't its all just speculation.
depends what grinds your gears I guess. For me there is nothing worse than jagglies and frame rate drops. But someone that was in to sharpness etc would have a different preference.
It seems a similar situation here in the UK. Any gamer who knows their stuff (or knows a gamer who knows their stuff) is going with the PS4. The fact we wont see any of the added "Value" that the USA and Japan are getting has, certainly the people I talk to... cant speak for everyone...miffed.
Fingers crossed for a ps4 release! There will be many fans that want to sell their old systems etc / not have them hooked up once next gen is out. Certainly I wont be wanting to go back.
That makes those PX4's I just preorderd feel more worth while.
I would be really interested to see them keep the ps4 at 720p and push up the graphical quality.
May like the cheaper DDR3 MS realised that a quality scaler chip is cheaper than a more powerful graphics section on the silicon.
Is it just me thats worried that the indie game push is really the end of AA and AAA full games on the instant game collection?
Have to agree. They would be better off saying "look devs have not got to grips with our super high performance ESRAM yet, but you wait when they do you will see the results"
That kind of positive spin would satisfy most people who were determined to buy MS I would think. The silence just breeds lies and speculation.
While I agree with others resolution is not the be all and end all, it is important because it tells us gamers that the console that can hit 1080 could in the future be pulled down to 720 in order to push the effects etc harder.
Its really not friendly of MS to ban anyone reviewing launch games until they are already out. I know its common practice but its just not cool full stop regardless of who is demanding the embargo. Control the information... control the people and all...
he is upset that they are not getting early hardware access. I think that is just a sign of the times more than anything else. There was a time when the press got games very early but now its days before release. Things have changed since the 360 and ps3 dropped, with the world so connected now and the press being so big (i.e. its not just a few select outlets now its every man and his dog) this makes sense in a way.
It may also be that Sony simply does not need to "sell...
Here is an out there idea. Give away all of the guitar hero back catalog for free (maybe minus the music) and then let people do a pay as you go on tracks. Nah, actually nobody will buy them. It has been long enough though that I quite fancy a bit of GH.
Sanity prevailed - I concur good sir.
Because of how long this last gen has been and a culture change with how lay people are now open to spending more on "premium" electronic products (ipad etc) I can see more normal people jumping in early this generation. Those lay people know nothing about the things we talk about on here and certainly here in the uk I can see them jumping for the One out of nothing but brand awareness. Many of my non "gamer" friends fully believe the One will have the control everything a...
I dont need a second one as I dont play local mp but I am such a geek I am tempted to preorder one just to get to hold it early. MUST NOT DO THAT. MUST NOT DO THAT.
A pirate game getting pirated? I cant believe Ubi didnt see that one coming!!!
6 hours! So for my ps4 preorder I am paying about £8 an hour. Just hope I get into the MP in that case to extract some value from it.
Naughty Dog is the one developer where I will just buy the game day one regardless of anything. With games like this I usually dont look into them too deeply and just let it be a fresh experience when its released.
