Cant beat a bit of Telltale. I highly recommend them and the Wolf Among us. Episode 1 of Game of thrones was a bit meh by their usual standards but episode one of Tales from the Borderlands was superb. Possibly their best work to date.
The thing is with a DDOS attack chances are you have many nodes making many requests. When any node makes an abnormal volume of requests it can be blacklisted. Combine this with the fact that Xbox live runs on Azure and will, I assume use the autoscale feature like many of us third party Azure users opt for, you might see a blip but it will soon recover.

Just picked up the special edition on ps4 for £25. Already got a massive backlog but be interesting to see how broken the game is while off over Christmas. If its fine great, if its not, ill leave it on the back burner for another month but at that price might as well have it on the shelf.
Just give it us for free on PS+ and sack it off. We will still complain though...
@FriedGoat - In game dev land assets can be anything. Code scripts, models, textures... anything. Its a very broad word to use.
For those that dont get how patches work. There a alot of files that make up the game. This generation the bulk of those files will sit on the Hdd. When a change needs to be made to any of those files a replacement will come down as a part of the patch package. I do not know if the original file is deleted or if it remains and the game defaults to the latest version of said file on disk.
The upshot is if you change only a tiny amount of code the whole assembly that it belong...

While I agree not to be pulled into hype. You are not an elder gamer! Most surveys show the average gamer to be 33-35 I believe nowadays.

At £9.99 its a no brainer. I loved both TWD seasons and The Wolf Among Us.
If I understand it both their Borderlands game and Game Of Thrones ones start over here next week. Season pass both I suspect based on recent form of TellTale.

FFS both of these companies only do what they need to do at a given time. They do nothing because they are nice or whatever. They do everything because it is competitive for them to do so. Understand this and stop fanboying. Fanboys are a license for console makers to take the p*ss. Free, rational thinking keeps them in check.
