agreed. strange to mix DDR3 and DDR4. A 4.2tflop GPU would be sooooo bottlenecked by DDR3 graphics memory. pure bs.
never heard ram codenamed before either. Only the CPU and GPU get names as they are custom. Ram is not.
Yeah, I dont mean the fact its quite is all out bad as in the game is completely screwed but given the way devs start beating the PR drum in the months running up to launch it kind of tells me we are not seeing this in March like a number of rumours have suggested. Just from the feel of the PR at the moment I think its fair to assume this baby is still 4-5+ months away. We can always be very pleasantly surprised!
Just from generally being a gamer and following game news for the last 20 years something smells with this to me. I really hope to be wrong but much like Watch_Dogs this thing has gone so quiet I dont expect to see it for some time. Not a terrible thing given how full the releases are going to get come March. Maybe Sony are saving it to fill out the gap between the March and Sept gluts?
Yeah in total truth I only play some games on RP, depending on how much the slight lag makes a difference to that game and how well the controls are mapped etc.
It is great for going into the store and starting downloads etc though when the TV is taken so everything is ready for when you get your slot.
You have to remember this isn't really a last-gen game. This is really just the PC version. The 2013 game with the exception of the new face was next-gen already.
I would get it but it pains me to pay £50 for a game I played maxed out on the PC and paid £20 for on release! £20-25 and I may have bitten.
Agree In that window we have theif, infamous and mgs!!! With a hectic life it will take me about a month to do each which is nice as I can spread them out until aug/sept with luck. Hopefully planetside 2 will raise its head as an online filler in the meantime!!!

well... yes I just put that down to being too simmy for my skill level. From what you are saying maybe its not me! I run this pretty much maxed (avoiding extreme AA and filtering where you drop your fps to 30% of what it was for very little improvement) on a quad core i5 @4.2ghz and a 7970.
From my time so far I have found that the ps4 can deliver a very close graphical experience to my PC generally, maybe not quite on a par but its not a million miles away. As others have said this is the usa. Its no surprise America has purchased the "america box". Here in the uk (a former 360 strong hold) its a sony walkover. We are literally tripping over x1 units in the shops it's unbelievable. Last actual sales I saw a week before xmas was something like a 6:1 ratio. Yeah this is something I started doing about 5 years ago. When there is a game you just know is a dead cert I read as little as possible about it so its fresh when I play it. There have been so many games where you just play through them and 50% of it you have seen already.
Some of the best MP fun I ever had was in R6 vegas games with 4 to 6 players total i.e. 3v3. It works because its a manageable number of players and you can learn their play styles etc and use it against them. Different kind of game maybe, I dunno.
There is no place for principles when 35-40% of your market is at stake. If he is developing it for windows (DX) it only makes sense to push it to XB1 too (DX).

I agree. I dont get off on others not being able to play exclusives I can. Its infact a shame. I do however get annoyed when I cannot play exclusives that are on platforms I dont own.
There is a market for the Wii though. As a parent with a 5/6 year old something cheap like the Wii with a massive back catalog of now cheapo games is very appealing to keep the little brats away from my ps4. We came very close to getting ours one. Trouble is I was really trying to push a U for them so I could play Mario 3D World teehee!
