Allegedly, Sony is deleting comments of upset consumers. So not only is Sony censoring video games, but also consumer feedback: https://twitter.com/WarOnFa...
This is rather ironic when Sony promised to "crank up communication with fans": http://www....
How can I be an Xbox fanboy when I've literally never owned an Xbox console in my life?
Over the last 3 generations, I have played on the PS2, PS3, and PS4 as my primary platforms. To see Sony being this anti-creative freedom greatly disappoints me and they have become a company I no longer support. Now, I'm planning to build a PC (already bought some of my parts) and waiting for the enhanced Switch next year. Sony crossed the line and thus, I'm taking my money elsewhere.
I have to thank Valve for taking a libertarian position to Steam. And to think th...
My hypothesis is that Sony is thinking along the same lines of Jack Thompson's stance against violent video games, i.e. consumers playing games with sexual content will be more inclined to sexually harass/sexually assault innocent people. However, similar to how there are studies that disprove the notion that violent video games encourage real life violence, there is no empirical evidence that points to sexual video games leading to real life sexual harassment/assault.
Ironic, isn't it? At the beginning of this generation, Sony came across as the champion of the little guy. Back when Microsoft's policies for indie and small developers used to be prohibitive, Sony gave them a platform where they could flourish.
Now? Sony is giving those indie and niche developers/publishers the middle finger, including PQube, XSEED, Marvelous Games, RLR Training (Super Seducer), and the developer mentioned in the article.
My personal list:
1. VRR/Freesync - Getting rid of screen tearing when the frame rate is between 30 to 60 FPS will be a significant benefit.
2. Longer controller battery life - I’m fine with the DualShock 4 with the exception of the battery life.
3. 1440p support - I find it strange that the Pro does not support 1440p screens. Meanwhile, the XB1X does.
4. BC emulation - Sony filed a patent that talked about emulation ...
Xbox isn't doomed, but what it has become now is drastically different from what the brand used to be during the OG Xbox and 360 days.
It boggles my mind that Infamous 1, 2, and Festival of Blood still have not been remastered.
In the case of Nier Automata, the developers said in 2016 that they were interested in making an Xbox One version. The reason why it took so long was because they wanted to focus on the PS4 and PC first.
Basically. A story-driven game's quality is determined by... well, how well the story is written.
At least offer a 'graphics' mode and a 'performance' mode, and everyone will be happy.

Yeah, it was different for the sake of being different. The intermission dragged out for far too long and not only did the stream watchers not liked it, but the people who were actually there, too.
Sunset Overdrive 2 is less probable because Insomniac is currently all hands on deck for Spider-Man and another small team is working on a VR game. Considering how successful the Ratchet & Clank reboot was, I would assume Insomniac will move onto the R&C2 reboot.
Not to mention, it was only a few weeks ago when Kotaku tried to take a dump on Detroit: Become Human with the dumb “Women are disempowered and abused in QD games because female characters are put in precarious situations” argument.
Look up "unique value proposition".
It would definitely make a very compelling launch title for the PS5. I would even argue that it will have the same effect as Breath of the Wild for the Switch.
Yes, PUBG is not free. However, PUBG, Fortnite, and H1Z1 are all competing for the customer's time. A lot of consumers don't have a boatload of free time in their hands, meaning that they need to choose which games they are willing to spend time on.
There has been a lot of unwarranted complaints like that Polygon article. Like with Far Cry 5, Polygon complained that Detroit does not push "their" kind of politics enough. I find that to be rather petty. Yes, David Cage and Quantic Dreams have occasionally expressed their political views and Detroit does not shy away from politics. However, that does not mean that Detroit is trying to push a political narrative considering that it is up to the player to make his/her own choices. ...
I'm not a contributor, so can anyone add Gematsu's article as an alternative source? Much appreciated.
