Considering CNETs usual stance regarding Sony I was expecting a lot worse, that being said I'll agree that 4K resolution will hardly likely utilized for a long time yet, but I will add this:-
If it was Apple or Microsoft who were hinting at 4K resolution in any of their hardware we would be seeing "Reinvention of the Wheel" type headlines not "Who Cares?".
Interesting article, but with that kind of opinion on a subscription service why would you ever subscribe to any service.
Take cable/satellite for example, they are way more expensive to subscribe to than Netflix or PS+, at least here in the UK. But I've never heard a single person ever complain in this way. Makes no sense whatsoever.
I sure as hell can blame it on the company. They are targeting the stupid or uninformed.
Confirmed, Activision have no shame.
People turned their backs when Ninja Theory started insulting everybody.
Well, if the recent atrocious media is anything to go by, no.
If they're such experts let's hear what they would do............then wait for the u-turn a week later.
Will we see a demo?
Everything and everyone will get criticized on a regular basis, it's how the human race communicates a sense of displeasure. It's nothing new, and the entertainment industry has been at the sharp end of it since day one, if you can't cope get out.
That being said, I don't think anyone in the gaming industry except for the string pullers should take it too much to heart, after all it's the publishers, leads, directors, producers and CEOs who have all the say...
Hardly surprising, it is SCEE after all.
@DiRtY
Clearly you don't read many articles around here!
Drop the crappy pedantic attitude, if you haven't noticed the businesses out there that make the unnecessarily obscene amounts of profit don't usually have a very good reputation and will therefore be guilty of the above practices. Maybe I should have made myself clearer, so the easily irritated could understand.
Then you are as bad as they are. Yes, you have to turn a profit to survive, but customer and staff satisfaction should always be a top priority, after all without either you are nothing.
When fanboys run around shouting "it's a business, it's all about the money", this is the kind of thing they are endorsing.
The first paragraph made the rest of the article redundant. As for the Tomb Raider scandal, I still don't see a problem, TV and film alone has been exploring the subject for decades.
Sounds like you've had a trip into the future there bro! Any chance of confirming the release date?
Please don't mention any story though, we'd still prefer to experience it ourselves......thanks!
I was merely making a long story short, and pointing out that a game cannot make somebody go out and commit murder.
Take Anders Breivik for example, apparently he used Call of Duty for training purposes, but the media twisted this around and blamed the video game industry for what he did. It soon came to light that he had been planning the atrocity for ten years, and was all down to some political ideals he'd latched onto. Further to this he had to take drugs to suppress ...
I think it was liberal thinkers rather than political allegiance that was implied.
So which irresponsible cretin gave you that cigarette?
Oh dear, you do realise that anybody who is mentally ill enough to go on a murderous rampage would have done it regardless? Stubbing their toe, being dumped by their love interest, missing the bus by seconds, being cut up in traffic or having a bad hair day could trigger it.
The bad press for the gaming industry is caused by the sensationalist press and wishy washy liberals with nothing better to do than blame things for society's ills rather than blaming the attitude and...
Well, you could convince everybody by cleaning your act up right now. Otherwise they are merely empty words.
