Absolute horse sh*t, seems to me Epic games are laying the foundations for inflated pricing and claiming extra costs. I expect this from an energy company, not a software company. Unlike an energy company, it's much easier to do without software.
@TheKayle
Starting your little tirade with "like all the little ps3 fanboys" isn't likely to grant you any reasonable replies.
If anything it sets a first impression that you yourself are a fanboy of something other than PS3.
You're still making a CoD though, right? And it's still going to resemble MW1,2 & 3, right? We'll just go ahead and call it MW4 until the inevitable reveal shortly after Black Ops 2 releases.
An annual console more expensive and no better than the current hardware.
I think only the Apple die-hards would be sold on that.
Sweet merciful cr*p! Is there not one single person left at IW or Activision that can have a single new idea?
What must a job listing from IW look like?......Game Designer wanted, no imagination or initiative required.
Blame the publishers for pushing devs to tight deadlines, errors are easy when you are under pressure and have less time than is required.
I sense there is a competition to see who is daring enough to give the lowest score. I would expect this from the CoD die-hards who don't want anything else to exist, but not so called professional reviewers. It's just puerile and pathetic.
I'd call that proof that the gaming media are run by school children. Simply puerile!
Obviously!
Yet CoD will get a compulsory 9.5 for the same reasons.
Tired of military shooters for now so I may pass on this. But it would be my first choice over CoD if I felt the need. Apart from the lack of maps on the first MoH reboot the multiplayer was a much better experience than any CoD. There was a real sense of achievement when battling to each objective instead of just running round in circles hoping that the lag was on your side.
If any extremist that feels it necessary to complain about this kind of thing, could they please provide a list of what does not offend them rather than what does as I assume it will be much, much shorter......thanks.
I don't believe there will be an increase in cost.
Visually there will be an improvement, but nothing that is not already being done on PC. So I can't see why there would be a cost increase, besides I'm sure visual quality has to be lowered from what is designed to fit consoles.
Programming will be easier according to what the industry is telling us, so that should cut work rates. More RAM will mean less work involved optimizing code or cutting me...
A resounding yes from me. Unfortunately I don't see it changing, after all, publishers want to cater for the widest possible audience. While that's great for business it dilutes the enjoyment of games for those who were there when gaming was a niche market.
I'm really starting to believe that some of these pre-order and sales numbers thrown around for CoD are bull.
As of this moment I don't know of anybody who is interested in buying this year. In fact non of my adult friends, my son or his friends are interested or bought it last year. I work in a major UK city college with a student population of 16,000 and I haven't heard a single person mention it. Which is a far cry from two years ago when you couldn't turn ...
Major con: At the mercy of extortionate publisher pricing. Look at some of the digital prices that Activision and EA are putting out there, £59.99 (that's $96.97 to our U.S brethren) for games I can buy new in the shops for less than half that.
I understand that publishers right now want to avoid rocking the boat with retailers who are selling disc based games, but these prices are a joke and certainly not a sign that savings will be passed on to the consumer. In fac...
Cringeworthy!
Don't worry, long gone are the days when I pay attention to the agree/disagree scores, especially seeing as some will disagree to the strangest things.
I had trouble getting cash out of several ATMs a couple of weeks back. Can the author of this flamebait article please comment on whether my bank has been hacked......Thanks!
Dude, save your breath, it's just one of those unfathomable things that occur here on N4G.
I've stopped looking at my agrees and disagrees and just concentrate on the replies.
Minutes? Seconds?
