Hmmm, are these dumbasses forgetting all the articles about PS3, Vita and 3DS being too expensive? Yet you can nearly buy all three for the same price as an iPad.
What about a physical disc drive, my PS3 is the only device I need under my TV, with a tablet I'd need a separate DVD/Blu-ray player. There are countless articles congratulating Microsoft on making the XBOX a home entertainment hub(even though PS3 and PC were first), but tablets and phones would be a small step ...
A little harsh don't you think?
Love or hate them, Sony have a rich history when it comes to gaming, beating them with a wrecking ball when they're trying to pick themselves up is way out of order.
If Apple or Microsoft got the same grief, there'd be anger and lawsuits on an apocalyptic scale.
Do journalists understand gaming any longer?
It won't cost them a damn thing, hacking has been rife in WoW for a long time now and largely ignored....Why would they start caring now?
That's true regarding those that are passionate about their gaming, but for the millions of others information is key, when that information is negative what do you do?
You pass and find something more universally accepted.
If all these idiot journalists had their way, the whole gaming industry would be dead and they'd be looking for another job.
Hasn't a single one of them thought that the reasoning as to why the Vita is struggling to take off is because of thousands of articles like this. Think about it, they all bleat about wanting to insert their erect sexual organs into every iPad they can lay their hands on and the thing sells like crack, despite the hefty price tag, new version ev...
@LevelHead
The only thing I can agree on with your comment is the "real" gamer tag. Yes, the little time waster games on phones and tablets are no different to what we played twenty years ago, but you have to appreciate that gaming systems weren't capable of much more then, so that is all we got.
I will go as far as saying that there is a clear divide in the gaming world, you have what I like to call the gaming hobbyist who will play anything f...
Forget the "Vita/3DS/console/PC is doomed" articles, after this I think "gaming is doomed" would be more appropriate.
Really? Yet she could of bought all three home consoles for the same price as one iPad.
Or both the Vita and 3DS.
Enough! I get the point.
But what if you're wrong?
Innovation would cease........No competition, no need to try.
Sweet merciful crap, I didn't sense a single gramme of sarcasm reading that. Was this numpty only born yesterday?
It seems to be common practice for those in power to punish the many for the deeds of the few.
Look at the alcohol pricing proposals in the UK. Just because a minority of people feel the need to get hammered every other day, the government want everybody to suffer by pushing up the prices.
Breaking news........Hitler's stash of violent video games unearthed.
This isn't going to make the slightest difference. How long have ratings been displayed on boxes? At least ten years I'd say (BBFC), which is about the same amount of time they have been ignored. You won't change a thing by saying they'll be enforced because everyone and their dog knows there won't be any enforcement.
The law can't deal with persistent criminals so it's hardly likely to deal with little Johnny playing CoD.
A "Biggest Douchebags in Gaming" list is not relevant without Kotick.
I dread to think what Genghis Khan was playing before he went on the rampage.
Yes IGN we get the picture, everything is dooooooomed!!!
*Rolls eyes*
Resident Evil proves Capcom haven't got a clue, so how is this case going to be different?
Yeah right!, not before the price of a digital title is less than retail.
Right now I'm only downloading digital on sale. Like Shazz pointed out £55 for FIFA 12, right now I can buy a new retail version for less than £15.
EA is one of the worst for inflated digital prices, they might want to think twice about that before trying to grab some sizeable digital market share.
