Didn't know there was any controversy.
Dante's new personality, juvenile script, missing game mechanics, too easy, Tameem's attitude and in game jokes mocking every fan of the original franchise.
I could go on, but you get the point that it has absolutely zero to do with hair colour.
Consumers have not understood? Well, who's fault is that?
If you want consumers to understand, you at least have to market your product. I don't recall seeing any marketing in the UK.
"Secondly, when has Sony ever received any notably negative buzz on this site?"
Please tell me you didn't write that with a serious face.
Such a lovely story, shame no one cares!
Personally I believe developers and publishers are claiming that development will cost substantially more with the next generation consoles so they can justify charging more for the games.
Some PC titles are already pushing more than what we can expect from consoles yet the price isn't inflated with those. Something to ponder hmm?
A lot of time (and consequently money) is spent optimizing code on the current consoles, which will be less of a constraint o...
You disagreers are priceless, so when is my pay day f&*%tards?
Result, if true, that's my pay day.
Can we hear about all the other companies (gaming related or otherwise) that have been fined for actually losing customer information through their servers? Didn't think so, not newsworthy enough huh?
Look up the reason why the 360 was called the 360, then you may realise why the 720 name is retarded.
Maybe it's just me but it's starting to tug on my last nerve.
I'm increasingly of the opinion that the old Devil May Cry is gone, and however much it pains me I'm forced to accept it.
As you stated, if the reboot is successful it will be continued but unfortunately if it's a failure I'm sure the whole franchise will be shelved. For those who aren't keen on the reboot it's a lose-lose situation. Sad times indeed.
Please stop calling it the 720!
I'll admit right from the start I haven't played the full game. Unfortunately the videos and the demo didn't sell it to me. Appearance wise the new Dante isn't a huge problem, but his personality, that's a different matter. If they hadn't made him such a complete and utter bell end I would have been able to watch the trailers or play the demo without cringing. Unfortunately first impressions are important, and none of those suggested positives were present.

Just wow! I suppose the Earth is flat as well huh!?
I can't fathom how anybody can take a review seriously anymore, the double standards are astronomical making review scores meaningless.
The gaming media are almost on a par with the tabloid rags when it comes to integrity. There are exceptions, but they are lost in a sea of slime. It seems that all they are interested in is being the catalyst of gamer infighting rather than a source of helpful and informative information.
Explains the nobby attitude!
@nukeitall
Sorry to disappoint but the Wii U uses a Blu-ray optical drive.
This is what is wrong with the industry this generation. They're trying to appeal to the CoD crowd and completely missing the point that most of the CoD crowd only buy CoD and are interested in little else, multiplayer or otherwise.
The hypocrisy in your comment is delicious.
