I'm not sure how you RIP yourself off (Miami Street was an MS game), but it literally is just rebranding of Miami Street.
It looks like pcgamer was the only one who took the time to look into it. The funny part is, if people knew more about the context here, a whole other group would be whining and crying about it.
There's a certain level of irony in that. Meanwhile, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering where those "offended" are actually at. Thankfully those types aren't on my SM, but I'm not seeing them anywhere. To me, it seems like once again two sides are ...
If they paid to control the negativity this gen, they should get a refund.
That's exactly what they did for Origins, and it was a critical and commercial success. Then they followed it up with Odyssey, which was even better and more successful.
Even worse, the author ends with some suggestions that don't seem nearly as interesting or as commercially viable.
Vikings makes a lot of sense and should be a lot of fun -- especially if there is a meta game where you try to direct their invasion across Europe.
The games are better now then ever in my opinion. It's never been a full stealth game, and going around one-hit killing everyone would not make for a very fun experience.
Maybe, but that's not what their lists show. Honestly it is the inclusion of some of the old versions of the Show in the critical issues group and Bloodborne and UC4 in the "issues identified" group that make me hesitate to rush in and change.
And Fortnite says no issues for those worried.
Why they didn't make this change at the PS4 launch is still a head scratcher.
That last disclaimer on the list about losing content means I'm not bothering with changing until well into PS5, if at all.
There's a QD collection on sale for $30 at Gamestop right now (Detroit, Beyond, and Heavy Rain).
@Carcarias
I don't disagree with your position entirely. Personally, I would not play a From game on "easy" or use cheats and mods for the reasons you describe. But it doesn't affect my enjoyment or my rating of the game if others do though.
Again, people are conflating two separate groups. Some argued that the game is too difficult for their skill level just in general. I personally might join you in saying that a dev shouldn't feel...
The reason Sekiro is being brought up in the accessibility discussions is because of the able-bodied journalists and players calling for an easy mode for other reasons.
In response to the "git gud" crowd that pops up to rebut them, advocates began to speak out and say: "some of us ask for difficulty adjustments for very valid reasons." So while some journalists push an easy mode idea due to a lack of skill and patience, some with valid gripes used that d...
I would encourage some of you guys to read the piece submitted by Cherry Thompson
https://m.ign.com/articles/...
Or follow people like Steven Spohn on Twitter.
Not everything is black and white. Some are pushing this conversation for very good reasons, and not just because the guy at Forbes sucks at games.
2 different groups antz. Look at the article for more links.
Or just throw some cheat codes on there. What does that hurt?
It's not about age or not understanding the product. This particular discussion is about people who physically cannot play some games and want the devs to consider them.
I'm sure the vision of the new Avengers movie is to have some of the best sound design of any Marvel movie. Some people will enjoy it without hearing it at all...because they can't. I would love to see the director...
Who's crapping on devs? The discussion (on the one side at least) has been quite respectful, and has aimed at opening the discussion up to a different perspective of this debate.
Do you scream at people using CC on movies and TV: "git gud at hearing!" Do you cry about the artistic vision of a concert when they offer ASL translators at a show?
Well maybe you do...but as someone who grew up with cheat codes, "God mode", debug modes, ...
It doesn't, and it can't. But we see disability accommodations for most types of entertainment. Other forms of media try to be accommodating more than games too.
The current discussion is about gamers with disabilities being unable to enjoy a game due to their limitations. As a community, we should be getting behind saying that all games should be "for you" regardless of your physical or mental disability.
@Antnee534
I get what you're saying, but "millions?"
My theory on gaming "fans" on the internet:
30% are shills.
30% are children.
30% have a legitimate mental health diagnosis.
10% are normal adults with personal likes and dislikes.
The 4th group are nice to find. The third group are easily ignored. The second group are excused. That first group are my reminder that none of these corporations are In this business for some misguided altruistic cause.
Interesting list...
The online service has 2 actual zelda games. Ittle Dew 2 or Binding of Isaac are a better picks for "Zelda" games than Skyrim and Diablo imo.
Miami Street released last year, I believe. They just changed the name to get more attention I would guess.
