Just follow Nintendo, and identify special directs that focus on VR. When they announce a Pokemon direct for example, I know I will tune out. If the State of Play is focused on VR, just tell those of us not interested in it in advance. Problem solved.
??
This rumor or analysis is 50 GAMES added a month, not $50 a month.
I understand why it wouldn't be included, but if you're collecting for the 7800, grab the PAC Man Collection. It's existence is a great story and shows that homebrewers are dedicated fans. Support those guys if you can.
+1 for including midnight mutants.
$2.50 a game isn't bad for legit retail releases. Better than the old VC pricing, and on par with most classic collections from last gen in particular. Curious what the mystery games are in the Castlvania and Contra collections.
I'd pay $20 to have those Contra games on Switch especially, even though the physical versions are sitting on my shelves.
All 3 will be fine, but there is plenty for them all to keep an eye on.
A controller and a dongle is suddenly capable of those high end 3rd party games not available on a $300 Switch.
PS Now doesn't have brand new releases, nor is it available at these resolutions/frame rates, or on all devices.
Xcloud is completely untested and appears to utilize Xb1s's., which aren't capable of 1080p/60fps natively, let alone through stre...
Ahh, #3 ...My first time in a class action. I got a Santana CD and like $6 or $7.
IGN shot it yesterday. Yuji works for Bloomberg. He could be getting intentionally misled, but I doubt he'd risk just making it up.
Not to give them too much credit, but wouldn't any real journalist follow up and investigate the rumors and report on it? I set the bar low, but I would certainly hope someone looked into it further.
I checked out the IGN article too. It sounds like this may have been pure speculation turned to fabrication.
Who knows though. Would be pretty crazy.
There were rumors that Apple was looking last year too, but it was all speculation.
The problem is T2, EA, Activision, etc., make their money because they're multiplat. If they go 1st party, they're cutting off so much revenue. Now maybe it's feasible if they stay open to PS AND PC, but even then you're really going to have a long wait for a return with any of them.
The updates are saying that it's pretty baseless rumor, but we'll...
Nah, I said the closed system approach was more monopolistic. Would you not agree that a closed console ecosystem is not an example of a monopolistic market?
No one is calling Sony a monopoly, but neither was Microsoft to the degree people think. Just ask the courts.
Ah, another Netscape fanboy, eh?
I know, I know. Microsoft is paying Epic to make Switch players play with iOS users and then pay nintendolife.com to write about it to attack Sony. It's all part of their goal for global domination.
Lol, come on, rain. They're not jerks, she's just flicking the sticks, which is typical. You're the one talking authoritatively about it to downplay whether it works. Of course it's going to work, but the question is how well it does it.
Maybe it's fake, but I was literary playing last night and most of what you wrote is wrong.
Both of which will come with bundles and Special Editions, I'm guessing.
Do you have to answer a riddle in order to cross your bridge?
This article is about Switch and mobile cross play, too. Believe it or not, cross play isn't a Microsoft issue. The goal is to expand user bases, increase player retention, and yes, make money off of games. The makers of games...like Fortnite...want those things. Platform holders want these things. Gamers interested in MP want well- supported and populated games.
To respond to one specifi...
Yes, because their market share plummeted after Fortnite went full crossplay.
I'm encouraged by Layden's recent comments about the future of gaming being much more open. You sound like the protectionists he mentioned that are still at the company.
We all get that it's 100% motivated by business intetests, but I'm not an investor. When I see that PSN grosses 12bn for them, I'm not feeling too bad for asking that 3rd party multiplatform ...
@rain
Based on that comment, it sounds like you haven't played the game before. It's controlling like Horizon, which is what makes it frustrating and an awful game to use to determine latency.
Tapping the sticks is only going to result in small wheel movements, which won't immediately result in sharp corrections or spinning out. What game have you been playing?
Tapping the accelerator will also result in maintaining a mode...
Lol. Yes it does. Why the hate?
It's as logical as a sub imo, especially early into the life cycle of the platform. A hybrid buy/sub offering is most likely. It will depend on the cost of hosting the games, but putting 2,000 hours into a non -GaaS, MP game seems unlikely. Getting a cut of a full priced SP game and getting their MAUs up seems to me to be worth offering full purchases on top of a sub.
Even under a subscription model, you will have those "max" users taking advantage of the system. ...
