Who is "y'all" and who is mad?
@Christopher
Just gonna double down, eh?
I asked you to name a situation like this one, which is the subject at hand and apparently the basis for your sarcastic response to my comment about goodwill.
Specifically, I asked "what games have been bought then taken off a preexisting store front?"
Whether it's your best example or the only one you remember, the example you gave so far is weak. While I don't ...
Because of this? Nah. If anything, it'll cause them to start going tit for tat and buy some timed exclusivity BS too. Can't wait for that...
The backlash Epic faces will keep many of Steam's fanbase right where it is. Until Epic can match the quality of life components of the Steam platform and actually earn those customers, I don't see Valve feeling forced to do much of anything really.
"Anyone who buys out games to restrict them from platforms they otherwise would go to are scum!"
So you're randomly talking about exclusivity in general or this Rocket league -no longer offered for sale on Steam after appearing on Epic store- situation?
Cause if it's the former...kind of a weak reach. I personally do think it's a scummy move when we see stuff like that too.
If the best example you actually have is ...
I mean... I don't entirely disagree (except for your odd use of the word "fervor"), but where am I wrong?
They're getting major backlash (perhaps largely undeserved) and then announce they're buying a studio and popular IP (no issue there), with the caveat that they'll no longer sell that game on the store where it has sold millions already, and which objectively, is a better platform. In this competition you speak of, tell me how that last part ne...
Haha uh oh, you got me!
Kids were arguing about this on Twitter months ago. No, you're still wrong. Listen to the actual (german?) interview. He's talking about their BS mobile games and loving crossplay. Gets asked about 76 (answers with that said, no 76 doesn't have it). Then gets asked about MS and Sony (says Sony's not helpful with crossplay). We know that's his position based on what he already said.
Somehow that gets made into &q...
What tool are these 3rd party devs offering?
I've been getting these for the last decade on Xbl (and PSN to be fair). It does seem to increase and decrease over the years. I have no real idea why, but I'm guessing the spammers find ways around whatever MS does to combat it quite easily.
Or people really are interested in hooking up with me over at the sexysingles dating site. Who am I to judge?
So when Sony wanted it, was it all about Sony forcing PSN onto Xbox devs?
I see that being parroted by many for obvious reasons, but it's not accurate.
Bethesda's push for cross play was for that ES Legends game. They literally came out and said exactly that. 76 never had it, and was never being pushed to have it by Bethesda. It was all about that small card game.
Oh, this will do wonders for all of that goodwill you're seeking, Epic.
I see these on the front page now and just picture the outrage that is to come.
They did, but the price is about $5 too high.
@kaipow
Why do a mall tour when they can just offer it to the billions visiting Google everyday? Are people going to sign up at the mall and come home without trying it at home anyway?
@sprinterboy
You really should use ethernet over wifi for gaming.
Here's the 20 million to switch article he was referring to

Yeah, and I still don't think the focus is aimed at taking on consoles right away anyway. These will all be PC games technically, right? I really think PC gaming and mobile gamers are the primary focus to start.
I'm more intrigued by a chance that Google takes on Steam with a storefront that offers streaming per subscription, streaming per purchase, and a full purchase/download version.
That approach would be far more likely to make a dent in the ...
Ehh, that may have had more merit a few years ago, but he went full QAnon recently. You probably shouldn't expect a credit in a game aimed at kids when you take that step...
Blue Dragon is BC too.
PD: Orta looks great enhanced. Saga is the one that needs a remaster.
I moved to my town 18 years ago (New England). Same thing is happening here. We also went from multiple music, movie, and game stores to the scraps being sold at Best buy, target, etc.
That would be the smart move right now for Epic, yeah. What MS has done with Mojang and Ninja Theory purchases was smart from both a sales perspective and a goodwill perspective. Strange you don't see that.
