It's still Nintendo...
Good point though. They did drop it to $59 last black Friday, so maybe they'll go lower this year.
Great controller, but no reason why it's so much more than the competition's.
They've been going for around $62 on Amazon for awhile now. I grabbed a 2nd when it went on sale for $55.
I wouldn't call $59 a "blow out."
Guess I just don't get why a tower with more air flow and a big ass fan/ cooling solution wouldn't be an easier option?
I've yet to hear from anyone with dev experience explain why this form is beneficial in any way. Typically you get a no-frills tower with the appropriate hookups and switches.
That's the input I'd like to hear. I'm at a loss as to why this form was patented. Is there some proprietary feature to this that we're not seeing?
I know you'd better not bring your morning coffee into the room where this thing is sitting!
As I commented before, they are actually looking at gamers' habits before and after they've subbed to GP. They do know all of our gaming habits before GP. It's the only way these numbers could be compiled.
Maybe people don't realize that they're being tracked this much? I don't know where the confusion comes from, but what they're looking at is consumer behaviors before and after they've subbed. They're not comparing average users vs. av...
Aren't they referring to this though: "Well, they have a lot of free games to play -- but actually they're way more engaged outside the subscription. They go out to stores and buy more games than they did before they joined."
I think it's referring to engaging your more involved gamer, like you said. But it's specifically talking about a gamer who, through MS's own monitoring, is seen to be playing 40% more than before through GP games and reta...
Meh, if they decide that it can't be sustained, then the fallback is already there: just go back to traditional sales.
It's obviously not staying at the promo price, but I see it sticking to around $10 a month. When you factor in DLC, MTs, and additional purchases, it'll be making money soon enough.
Keeping the library curated is smart. Obviously it won't have every game, so they'll still get their cut from sales of other games and con...
If it's first party, they're going to get their paychecks like always. Milestones and bonuses will need to be reworked accordingly.
If it's 3rd party, they seem to get an upfront payment like we see on PS+ or GWG. Those will likely be examined closely to determine if the contract price worked out for devs.
The only "concern" is whether or not MS is making money off of it, and frankly, few of us should be concerned with that. There...
Yep. Read it was just a mistake in the PR person's email.
Shame so many people canceled those nonexistent preorders because of that misinformation...They were able to dust off their pitchforks though, so not a total loss.
I doubt it's resting. All signs point to the new San Diego team picking up the torch.
I never care who comes up with an idea, as long as it's a good one.
Play Anywhere is the cross buy program allowing a single purchase to cover the PC and console version of a game. It's been done before, but I appreciate that program.
The Elite controller outperforms more expensive 3rd party mods that used to be the only option. For those interested, it's a good move.
I'd combine BC and GWG. Putting 2 BC compatible game...
Challenge accepted.
We know about every game before release, that doesn't mean you go out and get people talking about your next gen system on the SAME DAY as the release of a title like CG.
If I'm pixelopus, I'm pretty pissed at that. The best time to talk about the release of the new system is not on that day. Why not wait a week? Review period gives a game a free boost in exposure, but they buried those reviews by dominating the news cycle. It was poor timing no matter how you ...
It was pretty odd that they stole their own headlines on the same day CG released by putting out that piece on the PS5. They could have held off on that news and given the game some space if they didn't want to spend $ on advertising.
By your logic, MS is paying sites to write things like:
"Whether you’re picking up a PS4, PS4 Pro, or waiting it out until the PS5, one thing is clear - Sony has dominated this generation, and there's no real bad time to jump in."
I'd be asking for a refund.
@darth
Nothing wrong with grabbing a better position.
Based on the explanation of her duties and Tim's, you could speculate that their major work was complete, or that they hit their milestones and their roles were redundant at some point. You could also speculate that maybe they were behind on those milestones and were let go.
Anyone hoping for some change in the creative side or concerned about campaign is still just going to have...
Why not? PS5 will be a wildly popular product. They're just writing an article about the pitfalls of early adoption. Why does every gaming article have to account for the hypersensitivity of some fans?
The site looks like it's almost entirely dedicated to PS and PC, and you're complaining because it doesn't sling enough shade toward other consoles? Seriously?
Be honest, if the article was a list of reasons why you should buy it, wouldn't that be the same damn thing? I never see the shill claims in those articles though. Unless some one opines why you should buy anything non-Sony that is.
The reasons listed here are obvious and pretty shallow, but it's nothing to cry about. Higher price, hardware defects, and comparisons to competition should be considered no matter what you're buying.
My launch PS4 ...
Why is this website posting summaries of the reviews made by another outlet?
I thought gamesradar took over Edge's web content? This just seems odd.
@AllMightyFox
I'm doubting too many shoppers walking through the game section at that Walmart are thinking about class actions or joycon drift.
