Not to be flippant here, but your eyes will tell you if you're playing the enhanced version. If you need other confirmation, it's already been shown how seamless the process is with the midgen upgrades.
Right now, if you pop in a X1x enhanced game into an X, you get prompted to download the upgraded files. You also can go into settings and manually do it. Like a lot of things with console, these tools are designed to automatically do the optimization and make it a...
The SX assets will either be on the disc or be automatically downloaded like we've seen with the X1x. That's the only question left unanswered. You don't have to wonder which version you bought. If it uses smart delivery, you bought the correct version.
Buy the game physical or digital. Whatever system you're on is automatically detected. The enhanced or higher quality assets designed to run on the X1x or now the SX get installed depending on what machine yo...
Honest answer: no.
Halo is just one of those games. If I hear any of its tracks start playing, I instantly feel the pull to go fire it up. Even the weaker titles in the franchise are some of the most robust games on the market. SP, Coop, and MP are all solid. Plus, that 30-sec gameplay loop is still pure bliss for me.
Halo and Zelda will get me to buy an Xbox and Nintendo system, respectively. If Sony confirms that the new San Diego team is in fact makin...
PS5 will sell very well, no doubt. I'm also reminded that the OG Xbox, Gamecube, Dreamcast, and Vita are all some of my favorite systems of all time.
Their sales figures may have been disappointing, but my time playing them was not.
That's all that matters to some of us.
Countries vary on their software return laws. We've seen changes adopted in several areas these last few years advocating for more consumerprotection, though. With it, we've seen return policies change within the companies themselves.
And you're still entitled to a refund if it's faulty. Defining faulty is going to continue to be a nightmare with so many broken games getting released.
Oh I suspect we know what SSM is up to...I can see them showing a logo for GoW at most. Why blow every announcement at once?
I could see either a FFXVI tease, or a FFVIIR-2 trailer.
MLB keeps getting left off these lists. Some mainstream titles like MLB, COD, and in particular, Spiderman would make sense.
I've given up hoping for Rocksteady to show something...

I thought the major announcement was the new Arcade tech they're trying out. Seems like a cool premise.
(I'll also be snagging those GG minis)
So opinion articles written about rumors are permitted now? Good to know.
OT: The rumors were always kind of odd, but I think a SE Sega version of the SX or any console would be something I'd like on the shelf.
Not sure if I'd want a Gen 1 Genesis scheme or a Dreamcast version. The fan mock ups of Dreamcast Switches are pretty cool. I'd like an official version from somebody.
Dead space?
That's the same as saying "everything is political." That's fun to discuss as a poli sci undergrad, but I thinks it's time people get past that way of generalizing. If that is the case, then what are we even worried about here? There's no need to talk about politics in gaming if everything is political already, right?
You can't pick and choose what is deemed to be political under that line of thinking. A game with a straight, white, male pr...
@imalwaysright
Because nothing you listed is political. Somehow disagreements and labels involving any and all cultural issues or debates gets conveniently labeled as "political," then quickly falls into Group A vs. Group B stupidity. Generalizations then follow and suddenly finding a video game character unappealing makes you a Nazi.
It's still exaggerated to say it's going to be replaced that soon(at least in the console space), but there's no denying the transition that we've seen in the last decade.
Consoles are the only holdout preventing the full transition to digital. Even then, the numbers over the last decade can't be denied.
We see consoles only make up a 1/3 of the gaming market. We're to the point now where there's already a 50/50 split in digita...
I'm always amused at the things that get politicised. Gender & orientation in works of fiction rarely seem political to me. If those issues spill over into human rights policies, sure, I can see that. But whenever we just hear about a gay character in a video game, people want to make that into a "political" issue in and of itself.
Gaming is not the only place where I see this type of knee-jerk reaction, and it's not limited to gender, race, orientat...
@fallen
Like usual, the Wii isn't discussed in articles like this for whatever reason. I've had Sony and Xbox fanboys tell me it's an anomaly, so it doesn't count for some reason. I think it has more to do with the slightly different market Nintendo has carved out for itself, but who knows?
I've never seen anyone throw in the DS numbers to compare though.
Still, it wasn't until sometime in 2008 that the Wii and P...
And the media crazed mob moved onto the next topic days later. As they'll do again and again ad nauseam.
There is definitely a PR game that gets played by all the companies to stay in the limelight. We saw that play out a bit earlier this year with the XSX teardown getting published days before the Cerny talk.
But this "article" comes from a (really great) charity podcast series put on by Reggie and the people at the New York Videogame Cr...
Shante is on GP. Great game.
I'm not surprised that their subs went up each time they improved it in meaningful ways:
1st - allowing downloads instead of just streams. Decent bump.
2nd - adding AAA PS4 games & slashing the price. Large bump in numbers.
Prices between the two are fairly comparable now. It might be cheaper for Now depending on your dedication to milking GP deals. I did the GP ultimate $1 conversion thing. I grabbed a bunch of 3 month XBL codes that ea...
Wait, should I return the 2 PS4s sitting at my house? I'm so confused.
Gtfoh with your fanboy nonsense, kid.
Sure...Except for the part where I talk about building new studios with talent that aren't being utilized right now. And where I talk about looking at a studio that is making mobile games instead of Xbox exclusives like they used to...should I keep going?
What games are being pulled from other systems exactly? It's not like I'm saying to buy Capcom or Sega here. These are reasonable acquisition ideas that have barely any impact on eXcLuSiVe gAmEzz!!

Skyrim and Far Cry take the cake on artificial barriers for me. So many steep inclines...jumping up sideways...hoping for a flat spot...ugh.
But more traversal paths would definitely be welcome in HZD2.
