User reviews for something like metacritic don't need retooled. They're meaningless. User reviews on storefronts are more impactful, but even then, they don't carry that much weight.
As far as Metacritic in general, I"d propose that scores from varying outlets stop getting weighted differently. Some random freelancer from IGN should not be given more weight than other critics just because of the name of the site.
Also, I'd like to see...
Fortnite was the one that really broke it open. Sony got hit with negative MSM reporting from just that one (albeit huge) title more so than any other before it. The MS & Nintendo commercial was a mere cherry on top, but when you have friendly supporters like Geoff Keighley and Greg Miller speaking up about it, Sony had to respond.
Don't care about your 15 year old grudge on this. Some of us pushed for it for years and are quite happy to see us closer to full adopti...
All rumors point to an August reveal of Lockhart. Makes sense to announce it when talking price.
Hate it when companies do that.

You sure about 2k? Might want to check the news feed.
Hell yes to Metrovania. Maybe even a Megaman clone since he's probably the biggest MM fan out there.
I stopped going to IGN when he left, and stopped listening to KF when he left there. The guy brings intelligence and humor to games media, and isn't just "OMG let's do a live hype fest reaction to every damn piece of gaming news."
I don't give a shit about his politics, and I appreciate that he doesn't give a shit about mine....
His game, Twin Breaker, is being ported to Switch and Xbox this year. I'm rebuying on Switch to support those guys.
Pretty much. It's hyperbole like this that makes following this industry so aggravating.
I'm very interested and even excited to see what MS does with an actual portfolio of studios. That's from both a consumer level and from an industrywide interest.
But that's not reason for me to think they'll suddenly be the BeSt evah! I'm just happy that they have some actual outside creative talent in their ranks. Hoping to see some new an...
It could be sooner if production costs alter significantly, but you're probably right.
I do expect color variations in 2021 though.
Same. I do think they'll try to be aggressive with the digital pricing. They're guaranteed to see so much better margins on software sales on digital, I'm sure they'd like to push it. Plus no lost $ to used games market.
Oh, and the DE is symmetrical.
@Imortus
Ok, if you're talking about Halo, I guess I agree. With it being cross gen, it might not be as important, but something does have to be said when you launch with a major tentpole franchise.
Mario 64 does come to mind too.
And 10's of millions will. The migration to the next gen always takes years. Games releasing at launch have a short-lived importance.
@sushi
Who knows why people continue to do this type of thing? People with common sense know. It's not people looking for constructive feedback, that's for sure.
Jim Sterling's latest video might be eye opening to some people. Game journalism and the interplay with pubs and devs has become a broken mess.
You have whining, pettiness, and sometimes inappropriate manipulation occurring on all sides.
When yo...
Meh, PC is as much or as little of a competitor to the Xb or PS4as Switch in my eyes. Remember, Sony themselves said that the PS4Pro was made in response to people looking at PC for higher fidelity.

I forget the stats, but aren't the majority of Switch owners multi system owners? I don't see it as necessarily a d...
I hope they can port it. I love this game even more than the first. I can manage if they absolutely had to drop it to drop it to 30fps too. Not preferred, but worth a second buy imo.
If it benefits the studio to port to Switch, I think they should be able to do it. MS has been pretty good about letting some things like this go to Switch.
It's no different in my mind to something like Death Stranding going to PC. Console maker helps fund it, gets some ...
True, but why reach out to the reviews manager in the first place? They said something like ND was confused about some of the criticisms?
You made one of the best games of the generation. Even the most devote "haters" have to recognize that you're at the top of this business. Your game is smashing sales records.
Let it go, guys. Some people won't like it or will not agree with your creative choices. I'm all for smacking down the i...
And this is why people don't trust the gaming press.
This is a beautiful set. It could have been sold or given away to fans. Instead these things are "gifted" to the press that cover your product? Come on.
They're just businesses, calm down.
Their "good game" has seen them hit over 10billion a year in revenue from Xbox lately. Greenburg's goofs aren't going to effect them that much.
They over hyped their little Inside Xbox show (which they always do) and got beat up over it for a few days. They haven't done your typical console reveal presentation or E3 level event yet, so why all the drama?
They got burned pre...
I think they said they'd be moving them into their corporate HQ. My guess is customer service jobs are being performed remotely for the most part anyway.
Yeah, they need to attract that new audience. I think they'll have some form of 3rd person story-driven action titles to attract PS fans. Then Kotor3, Phantasy Star 5, and Panzer Dragoon Saga remake/sequel are my pipe dream predictions that would also go to attack new users.
