Probably, but I have faith that all of this time and Red Deads critical and commercial success give reason for a solid SP experience.

I greatly enjoy GTA online with friends. It's popularity is deserving of it's own sequel, but I share in the disappointment that we may not see the amount of focus on the campaign that we hope.

The fact that they couldn't even give a port of GTA5 at launch this Fall tells me that they will be looking at 2022 or 2023 at the earliest.

Now I wonder if the focus will be on porting Red Dead after GTA5 gets its port.

None of that is being ignored. The point is, why do people like myself or the author here need to immediately jump in with these new systems?

Launches are usually weak enough as it is. With more of a focus on cross gen, diminishing returns on game graphics, and the sheer number of titles available on existing PC and console hardware, I really have no problem waiting a bit longer. It's not like I'll be missing out on much of I have to wait a bit to play the handful ...

Change is scary. Give them time.

@notoriouswiz

Our console games crash, have game breaking bugs, and require constant updates as it is. Even when all things work, we're still greeted with mandatory downloads and day one patches.

Have you played a game in the last decade?

Maybe it's time to think of new doom and gloom rhetoric. The concern for confused grandmas at Christmas seem...

Why do you think we see somebody like Nvidia release a 2060, 2070, and 2080 in the same lineup of cards?

There's your answer.

This entire year is a bit different though. The show the other day was basically a combo of the Feb 2013 PS4 reveal and E3 2013.

Compared to the 2013 reveal, this thing was 10X better. Compared to E3 2013...close, but not quite.

Great showcase either way. People expecting this huge generational leap kind of set themselves up for disappointment. It'll take time.

See, the weirdness appeals to me from a collection standpoint. But for aesthetics and practicalities, I'm tucking both out of view.

I thought the Xsx was probably too large to lay horizontally in my game room setup. I know the PS5 is too large. So aside from general amusement at the designs, I don't find either practical for my set up.

See you get it! Saying VM full would have made more sense. Listen, if these kids are going to troll and shill, we have to teach them to at least not be so damn lame about it. It's the least we can do to help them. Maybe you can have a 1 on 1 with Shadow here to assist him?

Nothing to deflect from. I watched MS's little 3rd party/ indy stream. Thought the games were ok. Look forward to seeing their July show.

@KilluaX3

I do think we'll be seeing a push for at least 60fps. Hopefully consumers really keep at them for it.

@rakentaja

Sounds like you just made the sales pitch for digital rental services like PS Now/Game pass. If you're just going to sell or trade, then why bother with owning at all?

I really can't argue with you.

I still feel like I need to buy both because I think the "slim" versions coming in a couple of years will really look a lot more "normal."

Not sure about "backlash" but I've seen quite a few crying about how reviewers on some of those sites were unfair. Then I've seen the ultra woke people complaining about SJWs again.

So basically it's just a normal day.

I think it's time for that new sci fi IP. Cannot wait to see what they think up next.

(Jak and Daxter need to get that Bluepoint treatment after Demon Souls).

Who has an answering machine in 2020?

When was the last time you got a busy signal?

Sorry, but your sad attempt at trolling seems stuck in the 90s. That explains a lot, actually.

What I'm still confused about is the "like Lost Legacy" part. I've played through LL 3 times now, and still don't think I topped more than 30 hours total.

If its standalone 15-20 hours (without more gang hideouts, street crimes, science experiment side missions) than awesome.

If it's seriously a LL or First Light style expansion, than I think the response isn't going to be great. It'll sell a sh** load either way, but I&...

I think Coaltion will be used to promote the "X enhanced" stuff with Gears at 120fps. Then Gears Tactics getting a console release within XSX launch window.

I know it's all about next gen, so Wasteland 3 is still coming. I agree that inxile will likely be quiet.

None of that is even relevant to the article.

The reason MS's features are "highlighted" is because the entire premise here is MS's push to expand to PC and even the Switch itself already.

What does Sony's SSD or PS Now have to do with that? If you look at the tags chosen here, it's an article about Nintendo and Xbox. Somehow they should have focused on the number of downloadable games on PS Now?

There is no way it's a launch title. Aside from the Spiderman expansion and maybe Astro, I don't know if any of the others will be ready.

Ratchet and Demons Souls have been known for quite a while now. I'd say they're closest to being ready out of the big ones. I hope GT7 is close too.

I would predict R&C, DS, GT7, MLB, and a few of the smaller games/timed exclusives help give them a good 2021. I could see a Feb/March 2022 for Horizo...

If I'm either of these companies, I'm doing exactly the same thing.

As others pointed out, it's been a constant tit-for-tat from both so far. Add to it the "random dev discusses PS5/XSX" we keep seeing go back and forth each week.

It's what any business would do.

What makes HZD an "rpg" more so than the other games listed?

Character building, skill trees, weapon/armor upgrades, side quests? Aside from trying to use it to fit your very specific narrative here, plenty of games mentioned are just as much as an "rpg" as HZD.

And the overall point is a good one. Melee was the weakest part of the combat. Dismiss them all you want, but the last two AC games are probably more of an RPG than HZD, and ...
