@sin
It's right there at the beginning.
"You're just arguing cause vs. effect here. If everything you said is true, and I believe a lot of it is, the effect is still the same."
See, he said the entire premise is not true. That's a fallacy. The premise is true, he just takes issue with the "why," not the end result.
That's a typical issue though. For whatever reason, some feel that ...
Lol. Grow tired if you will, Morgan, but it won't prevent me from disagreeing or pointing out fallacies in an argument. No straw men are needed to identify that you feel a certain way about Redmond. Ad hominem arguments don't help you make a stronger point, though. It's videogames and its the internet. Stop taking it so seriously that someone disagrees with you.
The article itself is about the effect, not the cause. The fact that it was delayed, in effect, demo...

In the end, a choice was made. They listened to feedback, and made a decision. Your whole "supposition" is that they should have made the call sooner. Ok?
The call was made to improve the game. Stay upset if you want, but it was the right call, regardless of the timing or cause.
Their sho...
Was that a sincere question? Just go back to any thread, story, video, or article re Halo prior to July and you'll see the commentary on MS's silence on it. That's from both fans and "concerned" non-fans alike.
That's one of the reasons the reaction has been funny to see. It went from "why aren't we hearing about Halo" to "They were relying on just that one game."
But they weren't just relying on it. ...
So what you're saying is that a new Halo or Gears has the potential to bring that downward trend back up again?
Is that the point you were making? Cause GoW hit some low points before coming back so strong...
Agreed. Initial sales will go the same as they would have regardless. Value proposition will be the key early on to sway those in the middle, but if you're wanting PS games, you're buying a PS5 now or later. If you want Xbox games, same thing.
COD will be the best seller on each again too.
Oh FFS, he's actually giving a nice, objective response.
You guys just look for ways to be upset.
Not sure what your overall point is here. You know someone could list out God of War titles in this silly debate, or GT or Ratchet and Clank. Popular 1st party titles are coming from each rather consistently. And games like Halo Wars and Gears Tactics are drastically different titles, but I understand that isn't what you're trying to point out here.
Also, we've had Spiderman since the Atari 2600. I think 2018 was the best of the modern era, even though I'...
How quickly we go from MS not showing Halo, to MS overusing it....
But the dramatics at the end made me chuckle. We've been told that, because Halo was cross gen and available on PC, its impact as a launch game was diminished already. That was true imo.
So just like before, what's going to be their selling point? Power and value are still there potentially, and that will still be their focus.
We can pretend that everyone buy...
Claims are already going in EU. Spotify has helped initiate it, and others have joined.
I loved Spider-Man 2018, but MM is what it is. Like Lost Legacy right? AKA UC4.5? It's not a knock, so calm down. Side story to original game, made in less than 2 years. I have faith in Insomniac, but this ain't Spiderman 2 here.
Same with Astrobot. Convince yourself that that freebie is worth $400+ if you want, but if it was coming from anyone but Sony, I can guess your response.
If supporting old games impresses you, wait til I tell you what MS...
I agree, but I know that the vast majority of people who are going to preorder a new system this Fall would be doing so regardless of launch lineups. Also, anyone thinking Halo is the last delay we see better be knocking on wood, too.
Hardware will be ready. Most games will be "ready." There is some added difficulties this year, but it's not stopping launches, and it won't stop early adopters from buying their preferred system(s) this fall.
Give Reach a go if you're into H3.
This Marvel?

Who are you talking to?
Yes to your question.
I would like a collection of all of the 2d games like the Mega Man collections.
Then an HD prime collection.
And it's always been odd that Metroid didn't get more love.
It doesn't.
Source: actually played the game.
I've spent decades listening to the end is nigh rhetoric. As I look around, gaming has never been stronger.
We can cling to these fallacies that holding a license to software on a disk is this last bastian of consumer rights, but that's asinine.
You know what else is asinine? This mentality that the market is so small that it can be directed by Microsoft. Their goal is absolutely to get me subscribed and locked into their ecosystem. From your per...

Well self respecting spammer misses the opportunity at such an easy pun??
Cyberpunk is another great example. After all, there are clear reasons why CDPR dislikes doing public demos, right? Well we know Cyberpunk was delayed multiple times, and some of those came after private and public showings. We may not know the full reason for the delay, but they chose to improve the game rather than make that money right now. Good on them for doing that.
TLOU2 is a fascinating example. When have we ever seen a game get a preview event, announce a rele...
