I finally put FF13 down and opened my copy of GOW3. Another great game...brutal even. But yes, another game with a great soundtrack.
What is with all the hate? Do you not like Claudia Black as an actress and because she voices for one of the characters you hate this game by mere association? Would you feel better if Gears won best musical score? WHAT?
You are complaing about the built in wireless of the PS3, a wireless which is still MANY times faster than the upload speed of all the mainstream ISP's? Then you try attacking Sony for including a DVD copy along with a BD of a movie for the same price (or at least within $5.00) as a DVD alone? Are you mental? And I guess it is Sony's mighty arm that is twisting all the production companies to give you the two for one or even three for one (don't forget the digital copy with most of these m...
I know of what you speak. I pre-ordered GOW3 from Amazon, and was very hessitant of picking up FF13. Well luckily (or un-luckily) my local vid store had ff13 on the shelf, picked it up last Sunday the 14th. Well, I liked it so much I bought a copy yesterday the 17th and let my son have the rented copy till the end of the week. He is thinking of picking up his own copy of ff13 and I have just opened Kratos last night and played him till 2 in the morning. I think I need to put down FF for ...
Plenty of "New In Box" PS3's on ebay!
I think you and a couple of others are missing the point, he is not hand picking the exclusives just to put the PS3 in a better light, he choose the true exclusives. As in the exclusives which are NOT on both the 360 and the PC, which limits the field quite a lot. You already should know that many of the 360's exclusives are also available on the PC which he ruled out.
I have mine in hand (pre-order from Amazon) but I have yet to open it, still working on FF13. But I do not think I can hold off much longer, will tear into it tonight. I was trying not to break it open till ff was further along (didn't want to dis ff ya know). Anyway, I should not have come in here today because reading all the posts have lit the fires. FF be darned, I want my Kratos!
I guess there are people in here that don't believe you have a 360 and you installed it to your hard drive, or they don't beleive that you think this is the fastest loading RPG.
I guess they know you better than you do. :)
GEC, I remember a time when you were anti-sony. Almost as bad as Power of Green. Did you finally break down and grab a PS3? If you did, congrats! Having both systems does get kind of expensive trying to get games on both. I did that for a good couple of years before giving up on the 360. I do miss not being able to play ME2.
Every time this Greenburg idiot speaks, it sends shivers down my back. PR is PR, but he just does blind ignorance!
Like so many, I am...
So let me add this, I currently have 27 friends in my PS3 friends list. Many have the older "fat" models. Not a single one have had the slightest hickup with the machine (beyond today of course). I did have another that sold his PS3 (still functioning by the way) for a 360 because the majority of HIS friends have 360's. He bought the Arcade version when the design was updated to include the HDMI port. He has since had the infamous "RROD" twice and is now selling his c...
I remember not 2 years ago that I was unable to log into Xbox Live for an entire 2 months...and what did Microsoft give 360 owners...the P.O.S. game "Yaris"!
Yeah, that one hurt the backside!
I think I can survive a single day of network issues with my 60gig PS3. The rest of you need to take a chill pill!
Taken from the article:
"For example, take the Lens of Truth’s recent comparison of the fighting game, BlazBlue. Their final analysis of the game found both versions to be practically identical in all parts but control. On the 360 versions they noted “I can’t tell you how many times we had to recapture the Xbox 360 version when we simply wanted to walk left. Sometimes we would jump, sometimes we would crouch. Every time we would curse.”
Now, to many a co...
Currently have 17 games and over 50 Blu-Ray movies. Even the classics (Terminator and Total Recall) look great on the BD. Walmart had the special with many BD's under the $15.00 mark. What supprised me is the red text in the 1st persion view of the Terminator, you can now easily read what is on the screen now. (Its a little thing yes but still cool). But like the others, I will not re-purchase my DVD collection, but any new purchase will be on BD.
For those of you that hav...
I did the same thing, $100.00 price drop, $125.00 worth of Blu-Ray movies for free to get you started, it was a great deal. I still play my 360 from time to time (120+ hours into Fallout 3) but I have let my gold membership expire. More and more of my 360 buddies are jumping onto the PS3 anyway. And with this deal I know one more will be joining the Sony family.
One of my friends just bought a PS3 because of inFAMOUS, the another was waiting for a deal...I think it just got here.
Reading the review, I found it hard to believe they were talking about the same game I am currently playing. The cut scenes are marvelous, the graphics are great (no, not perfect, the shadows do look pretty bad but they do not detract from the game), and the enemy A.I. are more than capable of surrounding you and handing your butt to you. Maybe they reviewed the game on easy or something.
Those of you on the fence, buy the game and enjoy it. It is a great game to add to your...
I added the link to the above sources, but to make it easy, here it is again...

Granted, there are a couple of people without mics, but the greater majority of the people online do have mics and are actively using them. Of course 2 of the 3 above games require a lot of teamwork to get through. So I disagree with your "no one on PSN uses mics" statement.
IF and I do mean IF, you purchased your PS3 for $600, then you would have one of the original 60gb PS3's which, oh I don't know, includes the emotion chip and backwards compatibility. So the question is, why are you trying to make stuff up? Do you actualy own a PS3? Quackpot is right in questioning you!
Just to help your memory,
At release in 2006,
PS3 - 20gig = $499.00, no media adapter and 2 usb

If you played Drakes Fortune, I would absolutly suggest at least renting Among Theives. It is truely a great game. Don't know about "greatest game in existance"...but it is a great game. I still get together with a couple of friends and do the multiplayer. I have always wanted to get back to getting some of the trophies but FF13 and GOW3 currently have my attention. :)
