I still play official pvp on Xbox, definitely isn't dead. There's still a decent amount of players for a game that's shutting down in 4 months.
It's a great remake of one of the greatest games ever made, yes it's worth it.
It has everything to do with the ABK buyout. Sure Activision could had done the same, but didn't as they didn't see it to be profitable enough. Microsoft is only taking the gamble and bringing it to other platforms in order to help get this deal passed.
I've said this before but COD wouldn't be as big as it is if it wasn't multiplaform. Sony will never reach the same pinnacle with a exclusive.
It would be fair game. But I don't think Sony would be willing to spend the money for both, those developers together are worth around 10% of Sonys total net worth.
Gamepass was given away at $1 for most of the X1's life, so that's a moot point.
SquareEnix might happen, Capcom though? Not likely.

Well we know Sony is making deals with Square(FF16, Forspoken), so if your theory is correct, why is Sony bothering to pay for these deals if the games do not sale on Xbox.
