You do realize that the 40GB was released on November 2nd and the week ended on November 3rd?
I'm gonna go ahead and say that the 80GB price cut is what caused the surge and that the price cut and the 40GB sales numbers will be finalized next week. The PS3 had a substantial jump in hardware sales and I'll go ahead and just point out that the 40GB being released for only a single day at the time wouldn't have caused that. Numbers should stabilize or rise next week.
Where is the door that leads to your simple world and where can I find it?
The Famitsu numbers are only the preliminary numbers and are usually off by anywhere from a "little" to "a lot". However! I forsaw this type of hardware surge at the release of Ace Combat 6.
Even me being a Sony supporter I knew that the AC6 release would be a crushing week by the 360 in Japan. Why? Because those Japanese people LOVE THEM SOME ACE COMBAT. People were thinking that Lost Odyssey and Ninja Gaiden 2 would do it....sure...those will also see surg...
The PS3 is getting the same firmware updates that the new NR stand alone players are receiving so all features given to the stand alones will be given to the PS3 as well.
Profile 1.1 and Profile 2.0 are already in the works to be patched in to the PS3 so claiming that it's features are downgraded compared to the next-gen players by Blu-Ray is incorrect.
What does it feel like to just be totally invested in epic FAIL? Nevermind the fact that you basically just pulled all of that garbage out of your behind without giving any facts to go with it, but to claim that the PS3 has -ZERO- (your words) games of any interest?
For shame ignorant one....for shame...
I hate to beat a dead horse or be like a broken record but I guess it's my turn to put out some games that I can assure you gained the attention of quite a few p...
Who cares if it's relevant or not.
If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen. I think "personal battles" like these are welcome as long as they stay in the "few" category.
Although personal attacks are a bit -meh- especially on a main stream website I will have to say that it is nice to see someone calling out Bloodmask on his extremely skewed and biased reporting. I don't mind good 360 news and I always enjoy good PS3 news, but BM do...
Gears of War was about 6 hours long for single player campaign and Heavenly Sword was kinda short too.
BOTH are great games though, but Heavenly Swords faults doesn't come from the game itself but comes from its lack of extra content. Obviously it couldn't have had any real multiplayer that would have been decent but they could have added more in there to play with besides unlocking artwork and movies. A few extra costumes or something would have been nice.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and slap you with a disagree. I have been scrolling this site for a while and I have never ever ever EVER seen The Mart say anything that wasn't just filled with slobbering troll speak.
As for Schmee? Yeah, it was kinda redundant to post factual evidence that people had already read before but it isn't like he lied about what he posted. The 360 has been out in Japan for two years now and it hasn't even broke the 500,000 units sold mark yet. It m...
Not to mention the Dynasty Warriors comes bundled in a special edition PS3 that has stickers, buttons, artwork, and, I think, the PS3 itself modified like the PES2008 was for europe.
The PS3 version will most likely stomp a large open hole in the 360 version over there.
You make a good point about the fact that Toshiba is slashing prices and there is no way that any manufacturing investment would make any profitable return. I may think that HD-DVD is worth jack **** but it's still an expensive technology.
What I find really funny is that the HD-DVD supporters (who just so happen to be 360 supporters) are praising this rabid string of price-cuts and claiming it to be "good business practice" yet when the PS3 took two price cuts to get...
People still buy more Blu-Ray movies and considering that every PS3 sold is a Blu-Ray player I would say that HD-DVD is doing nothing to gain ground.
PS3 install base is nearly 6 million world wide and BR purchases and rentals completely stomp the hell out of HD-DVD purchases and rentals. The only place people have shown interest in HD-DVD is Netflix and ,despite what that company will claim, their actual market share is next to nothing.
As for the price of HD-DV...
In all of the comments I've read none of you ever mention the fact your basing the "OMG TEH SUX GRAFICKS!!!1!" rant on a video that was taken with a shaky over the shoulder cam in SD at some game conference. People are complaining about textures yet this isnt even a direct feed piece of footage so how can you tell how crisp or jaggy things are?
Hell, at the angle and the crappy video quality I cant even notice ambient lighting in the first few areas. Obviously not the...
If Blockbuster goes out of business then I guess my renting days are over. I refuse to use Netflix because it relies way to heavily upon an internet driven service. I prefer a physical address I can walk too if I actually have a problem.
As for the actual article itself...it's just a bunch of wishful thinking. Just as "IdontTakeSides" said the article was made to focus upon their internet service but with spinned information like the closing of stores added to the art...
It really isn't.
You see...Leland Yee is a liberal democrat from the great tainted state of California, and what do Liberal Democrats want? Lets all say this together! "Government Regulation"
Private organizations and private control is considered an enemy to the democrat party because it doesn't involve granting the federal government control or power. The Government doesn't like the ESRB because they (meaning the feds) don't regulate it. However, they...
The Kmart down the road from me doesn't sell any HD stand alone players but they do sell HD movies, and the only ones they stock are Blu-Ray movies so I kinda figured that those previous stories were here say.
Especially since those other stories didn't ever really cite what Kmart actually said about the exclusivity deals. So, I guess Kmart finally spoke out.
I have HAD IT! *raises the banner as a hoarde of Orcs comes up the hill behind him*
WAAAAGH!!!! *charges towards EA Mythic*
The 90 score on metacritic would like to have a word with you. Also, those 27 different reviewers that gave it a 90 and higher would also like to show you the door.
As an "arrogant American" I just think that I have a right to be proud of my country and pretty much thumb my nose at anyone who sees differently.
As for France and their awesomeness?....heh.
That said I commend them on actually creating an energy efficient society that runs off of Nuclear Energy instead of buckling under the senseless pressure of the "green ecomaniacs" of today. At least this time they didn't surrender and it paid off. Sorry...
How the rest of the world talks crap about America but wont try anything lest they have a wrathful giant stomping upon their soil.
We wear boots made for stompin'
Anyways! Truth be told the only reason why America has such a hard time dealing with insurgencies and leaving the world scratching their heads as to why the conflict isnt already over is simple: "Progressive Liberalism and the Anti-War movement Democrat leadership"
Congress is t...
The 360 version doesn't have any anti-aliasing either and all of this (must have Vista and DX10) crap can be worked around. Microsoft and Nvidia were spouting off on how Crysis can only be truly experienced with DX10 and Vista yet the gaming populace themselves found that you can actually modify a file within the Crysis demo and unlock all of the DX10 effects to be used for DX9.
Secret: DX9 and DX10 are identical, but you just need the information of unlocking DX9 to get the ri...
