What really irks me is that the game supposedly has already gone gold or was like completed but was being optimized and was heading to inspection. Hell, even gamestop has labeled their release date as December the 4th 2007.

Well, at least the part where he is upset about people being enamored with a hyped up UBI game or just another FPS game. Granted, Resistance is awesome and Motorstorm is great but the fact that one year old games are outpacing newer and, in my arrogant opinion, BETTER games....well...what should i say really?

Naughty Dog has already said once before that the game already contains the code for online leaderboards and public records of achievements and trophies. Uncharted's medal system is already compatible with PS3 "HOME" and once that gets released all of our achievements and records are supposed to incorporate over in to that system.

I think that Assassin's Creed might have just knocked Madden 08 off of its throne of "crappiest multi-plat game for the PS3 of the year".
As of this writing I have had:
1) 7 lock-ups and freezes during gameplay
2) 2 "White Screens of Death" which locks up during a SAVE SCREEN
3) 3 clipping errors where I have fallen through buildings and the world
4) 4 instances where I have hit such a low framerate that the audio was out ...
I own the PS3 version and mine doesn't look anywhere near that washed out or faded. Then again...I have a big ole HDTV and I know how to adjust my picture settings to make everything look good. Honestly....the testures and the contrast in both games are the same.
HOWEVER! Ubisoft really dropped the ball on the technical issues regarding the game. At least in the PS3 version....

I just rented the game from Blockbuster tonight and I have to say that I don't find the game deserves a 3. It's more like a 5.5 or a 6 and the games action sections are actually quite fun.
HOWEVER, the problem with the game (and there IS a problem) is that it is supposed to be played exactly how your watching a movie....exactly. Right down to SONG SEQUENCES. Yes, Beowulf and his band of murderous Thanes actually -sing- to lure out Grendel. Sure...it's kinda true to the old book...
The 2k mod didn't say that. The Round Peg said that. I don't know what has been up with him lately but he has been extremely negative with aht news he posts about the Playstation 3 or anything Sony related. Also, he has been overstepping his boundaries in what news he posts by adding his own opinions to the descriptions as if it was actually a part of the article.
Microsoft Game Studios actually paid to have the game switched to an Xbox 360 exclusive while the PS3 version was in mid-development. Which is kind of a crappy move on the part of Microsoft because all they did was pay to have another version canned....which is dirty.
To anyone that calls this a "conspiracy" it isn't. The article on it was in one of the recent EGM issues....I believe september or october where they had an interview with a Bioshock dev. A sidebox held ...
Kinda early to be picking out which games you want to nominate for "game of the year" I'd probably wait till a week before christmas myself to decide that.
HOWEVER! If I had to choose a game of the year right now?
Bioshock (PC version) hands down the winner.
Also, I'm gonna go ahead and wonder why Heavenly Sword didn't get a nod for "Best action game" or "Best graphics". Like the length of the game or not you cant knoc...
I think Jade actually has a clue on what she is talking about and the fact that she is very attractive is a bonus. As for Morgan "Man Jaw" Webb....yeah, I think ill pass on that and her crappy show.
Although I though the demo was awesome and that this will probably be a "first-day buy" I'll have to go ahead and say that the game demo left me with the "Heavenly Sword Syndrome" taste in my mouth.
Basically it showed you enough and then cut you the heck off....which sucked. I blasted through the demo in like 15 minutes and it pained me. Still..its a demo so why should I complain right? Right.

Conflicting reports are coming in all over the place.
TnS found a Gamasutra site that also echoes the delay of HAZE, however the people at the HAZE website forum seem to say that the game is still on track for a December 2007 release.
I don't really know, but im watching this closely and I'm contacting Ubisoft to find out. More later...maybe.
