I'n my humble opinion Xbox/Microsoft changed things by far for the worse.
If Microsoft hadn't entered into things online would be free (neither Nintendo nor Sony would have charged) and the plague that is DLC probably wouldn't exist or would have come about in a much less obnoxious form like large expansions type add ons as was the case on PC prior to DLC.
In Microsoft's credit I admit they did push the online landscape forward but they w...
There is nothing to sue about, at worst they would remove his video or ban his account.
It would be hilarious if masses of people just uploaded tons of videos with just enough of a ton of things they know would cause copyright claims from multiple sources. That would be a great troll campaign.
I guess that is interesting and validates it. I do know about William Adams. But I didn't get far enough in the game to interact with any NPC that wanted to have a discussion. Perhaps it's in the character sheet and I didn't even notice.
My big issue is why is the character some sort of nordic looking white guy? It's basically like Tom Cruise as "The Last Samurai" all over again.
All I really have to say is "good luck".
Seems like a bad time to release, not even just the launch date but also in the middle of a cycle where PS4 is pretty much running away with the show. I'm interested to hear how they are going to get people to buy it because all I really see as guaranteed purchasers are hardcore Nintendo fans who own a WiiU and it's hard to feel like a lot of those people won't feel burned.
Ya know... Yesterday the top article was about the 360's legacy. As far as I'm concerned this is the true legacy, DLC and Season Passes.
I would love a sci-fi themed Elder Scrolls/Fallout style game
Steam is pretty organized.
And there have always been places like Freewaregames.net and other sites. And WAY WAY before that back even before the internet Compuserve, AOL ect. offered freeware and shareware and cheap self published games.
I'm not exactly disagreeing with you or agreeing with the article.
But to be fair Ubisoft has published a wide variety of games with differing budgets. Large we had South Park and Watchdogs which regardless of if people liked it, it was new and big budget to smaller games like Grow Home Valiant Hearts and Child of Light ect.
Ubisoft actually by far "imho" has the most varied collection of games of the major publishers.

Fantastic rating system.
Kill thousands of people = Teen. Show a girl in a Bikini = Mature 17+. lol
There have always been independent developers on PC. 360 had nothing to do with it's popularity now. That largely exploded after Minecraft's success which started on PC. But even before Minecraft Indie was going strong PC. Not to mention things like RPG Maker which has existed since pretty much forever and even had a Super Famicom version in the 90's.
*cough* DLC, paid online *cough*
Or you can buy someplace else and get shipping free without a $100 membership.
The point is, they shouldn't charge you at the end at all.
I'd like to warn people.
If you sign up for the free prime they will automatically charge your account for a year membership when the free trial ends.
I stopped shopping at amazon a while ago.
First they raised the free shipping rate (twice). But the thing that really drove me away was when they started delaying shipment to make amazon prime seem like a better deal. Before prime everything I ordered from amazon shipped next day and almost always arrived 2 days later. Now when I order and it says waiting to ship for a week to ensure my order arrives on the last or second to last day of the estimated delivery date.
Wait, what?
I assume they mean gaming hours from games though Windows store. There is absolutely no way adding a couple games put a dent in the amount of time people spent playing games via Steam using Windows 10 much less all games played on Windows 10.
I don't understand why Microsoft always has to give totally misleading information and statistics. Are they that insecure that they can't give any kind of realistic and honest information?
I can easily see Sony trying to push people into PSNow and streaming. Or perpetually upgrading the PS4 every year or two.
I'm not going to be buying it.
For $400 more I'd rather just upgrade my computer or simply save it. If I had known this was how consoles were going to go I wouldn't have even bought a PS4 in the first place.
And it's easy to see a future where the original PS4 works but plays games at like 10 FPS because the game was made for the newer model.
Bottom line, I'm just not interested in buying new consoles every few years.
The TV stuff wasn't why it failed.
It had way more to do with the always online DRM designed to eliminate used sales. That was what actually made people angry. It didn't help that it was weaker and strapped with always on Kinect.
Nobody wanted the TV stuff but that wasn't why it failed.
That's a real shame, I still play games from consoles dating all the way back to the NES.
