Translation: Less RPG more generic shooter.
Any publicity is good publicity. Why do you think there are so many troll just for clicks articles on this site?
"The Transformers games which are even being done by a high-level team like Platinum, how come they're not doing Call of Duty numbers? "
First Tranformers is not even in the same league as Star Wars when it comes to fan base (my father who hasn't seen a movie in the theaters in probably 15+ years saw the Star Wars movie), Second the Tranformers game barely had any advertising whereas Battlefront was on TV and and on websites almost non-stop I wouldn't ...
EA "game diversity is really important to us" So let's have Bioware our RPG team make yet another action shooter. Pretty much every studio EA has is making action shooters.
That's not diversity, that's just making what's easy/cheap to produce vs RPG's which are expensive due to length and the number of voice actors etc.
What I disagree with is giving games low scores as a publicity stunt.
EA sold 10 million Battlefront disks and probably another 8-10 million digital without any single player or high ratings. They can say whatever they want but the only thing they learned is "slap Star Wars on anything and it will sell".
Believe me, EA has no regrets when it comes to Battlefront They made it on the cheap and sold huge numbers. Thats pretty much an A+ for EA internally.
EA isn't about getting good reviews or even making good...
Ya know, the real problem here is that the guy who wrote this and Washington Post are getting publicity for basically crapping on the game.
Personally I don't care about metacritic or reviews, I know what I like and don't need other people to tell me what to buy. But when every other publication rates something at a minimum of twice as high it's obvious the low score was given for personal gain and not actually as a legitimate review of the game. Metacritic s...
@thekhurg
It means "Hey investors, we know no one's really buying this thing but we still need you to give us money"
Thats kind of a weird criticism for an MMO that's constantly getting updated. I would say that for most people the story and setting is the interesting element. The story is always getting updated and Star Trek has become pretty timeless. Plus I'm pretty sure the idea is to bring the game to people for whom it will be new. It's free to play so it won't cost people anything to make their own opinions .
I mean graphically on PC it's admittedly dated but ...
Dragon Age was fun for the first 1/4 of the game. Then it became just a bunch of square zones with the most uninspired fetch quests imaginable. The only thing Dragon Age did well was the interaction between the player and the NPC companions. Plus the combat was just awful all the characters has such a limited repertoire of skills and all the skills felt the same with most of them not even worth using . And the Tactical Mode was just terrible and practically unuseable.
Of course they are... for EA, it's cheaper if they only have to make one type of game. Of course that's not true at all for the wider gaming world, especially on PC which has a HUGE variety of types of games.
Of course they're not going to support it.
EA's goal "imho" is to damage/eliminate Japanese competition as much as possible. At the start of this gen (again imho) they colluded with Microsoft to have all their exclusives on Xbox. Then only because of PS4's success were they forced to make all their games multi-platform.
They didn't really support Wii they didn't support WiiU at all they didn't support Vita at all and the...
I love that DLC was created it really makes gaming better!

Probably my most played series over the years, I have loved this series since the very first one.
Civilization is the game all other 4x games are judged against and I think most people would agree no one has done it better. Civ V has been in the top ten most played games 24 hours a day on Steam for the past six years since it was released.
I can't wait to see more.
That's not really a reply to what I was saying, the obvious assumption is that they are having fun. The basis of my comment is simply that people just want the same thing over and over.
I find this whole thing to be fascinating. Both as an event and personally. Ironically having never bought a COD game I liked the trailer when I first saw it before the internet exploded. I thought it was cool they tried to spice it up and add more than just running around shooting "midldeeasternsprite17823 " over and over. I guess that explains why people buy COD over and over every year... they just want the same thing over and over.
*shrugs shoulders*
Why are you guys even surprised?
After Battlefront and Titanfall sold without even having a single player of course it's super short. It's an EA game, by now you should know their production goal is make the absolute cheapest game people will buy.
If your looking to EA to push the industry forward by creating excellent consumer value you're looking to the wrong place. heck EA's M.O. has been buy companies who make high value games and for...
Guys, Edmix is just more of a "gamer" than you are. Don't even try to argue with him. I mean a "true gamer" will buy any game even if you just turn it on press X once to eject the disk, the "true gamer" will still buy it for full price!
P.S. For a lot of people length has a lot to do with value, that's not wrong.
Wow he went off the deep end there... Never go full man....
Ya know, Ainta was annoying but her discussion spawned something even more annoying than she was. The whole group of people who now insist and even get offended anytime there is a character that isn't a straight white male. The people who insist anytime there is a female character or any kind of minority that the only possible reason they could have been put into the game was some sort of secret agenda. While I despise the censorship aspect of the current discussion I welcome diversi...
