Ultima Online had pickpocketing, it was great. Steal keys to peoples houses and rob them blind. Ah good times. Too bad no company has the balls to make another mmo with freedom of player interactions like that.
The good news, the next Xbox requires a dna scan to make sure your not playing used games. The bad news, it needs a sample of the tissue inside your anus.
Why was he hacking other Chinese people? His government would have looked the other way if he was hacking outside China...
Steam and consoles are different. Steam runs on PC which is a format that is almost universally backwards compatible. I still play DOS games on Windows 7. I don't want a console that shuts off my games every time a new one is released.
I dunno unless I hear it's really short or the play controls are insanely bad it'll be one of very select few games i'm willing to buy on day one. Platinum games is one of my favorite studios. And this type of game is there specialty
I laugh every time I hear anyone say The Last Guardian. I'm pretty sure that game is just a inside joke at Sony. People say things like "You think you'll get that big promotion?" "Yea lol about the same time The Last Guardian gets released."
I feel the same, I was getting excited till the used game blocking thing and the high chance games will cost even more. At this point i'm feeling like last gen may really be my last gen. I'll just play PC games.
Oh man i'm getting excited for next gen, potentially 70$ games and no re-sale. AWESOME!
There point of view is this. When you buy a game you own the plastic it's made out of but the software on it they own. And when you pay your 60$ your buying a piece of plastic and "the rights" to use the software.
What you don't understand is that the used market drives down prices on new as well.
Used game sales is the reason you can go on Amazon and buy a new copy of a game for 30$. It's because that price is competing with the used market.
If you remove used I can guarantee the average price for games will go up.
Those who are old enough to remember the NES days can tell you that before the used market a game cost 40$ on day one and a new co...
Um, the odds that this is a legitimate response from Microsoft seems extremely unlikely. Why would Microsoft choose to reply to some gaming site no one has ever heard of when they probably get information requests from hundreds of more legitimate web hosts every day.
Basically, my point of view is that while MS and Sony both probably don't want to block used games the pressure is from the publishers. The EA's and Activisions and Ubisofts.
And if they are planning this, basically there saying people need entertainment and there going to buy it regardless of how intrusive it is. And there almost certainly right.
People complained about online pass then day one dlc and now we have even have micro-transactions and pay...
I'd like to see these figures compared to how much each company spent on web based advertising.
Well I wasn't going to be buying it before, but if this is true and I actually believe it to be. It is assured now that I will NOT be buying it. Or the Sony console if they block used games.
Bayonetta 2 please...
PS4 is the next gen console I will be buying, I plan to get PS+ from the start and build up that collection.
Gotta be honest, multi-player on a Tomb Raider game makes me want to buy it less.
I wonder how much the check the NRA gave him to say this was for.
Looking forward to it.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming PS3 release and I'd buy a sequel.
