Light guns don't work on HDTVs without sensors. The wii is the only system where you don't have to pay more to point and shoot (or minimally 15 dollars for a gun case).

For the past several years a 150 dollar graphics card inserted into any relatively recent CPU is the only investment you need, repeat every two years. If you consider the lower prices of pc games that brings it down much farther. Compared to launch console prices this is a steal.
