How about better title..."Opinion pieces are an intelligence killer."
Just give me the skin for Josey Wales and give me a button to spit on whatever I want...then I will be happy.
This just in...3 witches burned at the stake thanks to FoxNews informants...man goes to jail for claiming the world is round and not at the center of the universe, FoxNews exposes his outlandish claims. Stay tuned for the latest.
You also have to point out the fact that the original Xbox did not have the third party support the 360 currently has. Why do you think they went after the casual market? When the new console does appear the core market will flock to it leaving their casual market to continue the 360's momentum...at a cheaper price.
"there are two other options out there that work just as well if not better."
Then tell me what happens when you kick directly at the sensor with those other "better" options...anything? One may boast 1 to 1 movement, but none of the others can offer FULL body movement....that is unless you want to tape controllers to your feet.
No it is not an Ipad, but at the same time it is not revolutionary. Sega did the whole display on the controller thing with the Dreamcast. Granted this tech is levels above that and interesting, but this is not a new concept. Although they will promote that way none the less.
Yes, I read the article. They said that Sega had the functionality operating on a PS3 dev kit. Nowhere did it say that Sony provided that voice functionality. Since Sega describes the voice feature being an integral part of the game I imagine that they invested in creating the code themselves. This goes back to the original question as to why others are not using it. If Sony does not have an open library that all the developers can use then they are going to base decision upon cost vs. import...
Most likely this is built into the SDK and probably the only reason it is a Kinect function. Voice control has been done before but each developer had to design their own library. If you had the choice of spending money to develop your own or pay nothing to use what is already there then which do you think they are going to do? If it bothers you then bitch to Sony to create their own voice library for developers to use.
I finished mine right as you posted yours...but I was nice enough click agree. =)
I would imagine that they made use of the Kinect SDK to make a lot of the voice functionality happen. It was probably easier and more cost effective to do it that way than to try and create their own code. Otherwise they could have applied the feature across all platforms. Not your disagree btw.
So....does that mean it is not an exclusive?
Taking bets on how long before the a$$hats at Fox news create a report on how game companies are teaching children to become bank robbers.
Say your next door neighbor went to work every day and left his front door unlocked on the way out. Then one day someone decides to walk right in and take all his stuff and some things he borrowed from someone else. Sure...the thieves are the bad guys, but in all honesty can you tell me that you wouldn't partially blame the neighbor or at least think that he is a freakin idiot for leaving his door unlocked? Especially if your items were some of the things missing? I have seen numerous peo...
I am curious to see if the Paypal support will allow another payment option everywhere in Marketplace and not just specific areas (aka Zune).
For every a$$hat the creates a "hate Sony" article there is another that creates a "hate Microsoft" article. If these are the type of things the cause you to react poorly then I suggest staying away from any post marked as an opinion piece...you will be better served in the long run.
I don't think Sony would have put themselves through PR hell just to do that. If they were seriously looking to move to a pay model then I would have expected them to use the recent Anon threats as their excuse for having to change their system. They would have done it a whole lot cleaner than this.
Definitely gave it an epic feel.
Wow...we have obviously pro Sony people in a pro Microsoft thread trolling and then calling others out for trolling? I really do need to go back and work on a psychology degree because this site is a thesis paper and a half. You people really cannot help yourselves...can you?
Only your zealot corporate cheerleaders get their skirts in a bind over this. They find it necessary to declare absolute winners, because by proxy they feel they are a winner. And thus the irony...as they end up being the biggest losers.
One can have a preference for a particular brand, sports team, or even ideal without showing "fanboy" behavior. In the case of the atypical piece of garbage know as the "fanboy" or "corporate cheerleader" I offer the following example:
Fan: Enjoys Ford vehicles, buys Ford vehicles, when asked tells others I enjoy my Ford vehicle.
Fanboy: Buys any vehicle only because it has Ford on it, Shouts at others on the road "you s...
