Sony actually filed a patent for a method to do this very thing. Enjoy playing your Wii-U next gen. Sounds like it might be a good time to build that new PC...or check out the steam box. I guess we will have to see this year.
I think MS is smart enough marketing wise they realize that first adopters are going to be composed almost entirely of your "core" players. They will continue to fish the casual audiences with big price drops for the 360. It will not be until they can get the price down on the new system before they can count on the casual audience to start generating larger sales with their new system.
Every example you give is video game related which is only a fraction of the exposure to what this theoretically will get. More exposure means there is bound to be someone who will try to attach a negative connotation to it.
That's kind of a ballsy move seeing how there is currently so much negative publicity related to firearms.
I guess many of you were not around when the every other 10min red ring articles were being posted. Microsoft has had plenty of mud slung at it. Most of the crap happens in waves as garbage news sites feed other sites...etc. etc. It's all about the hits.

I think they need to ask these ignorant congressmen how many of them grew up playing cowboys and indians pointing their fingers and shooting at one another. The difference is the MS claim is nothing more than a rumor but in Sony's case they themselves actually filed a patent for it.
And yes...I have The Walking Dead and enjoy it very much. Owning or having access to it is a good thing and should be taken up by anyone who hasn't tried it yet...despite whatever cost.

Funny...last time checked the stock market BOTH were publicly held corporations. Unless Jack Trenton personally took on Sony's debt then It would be safe to say the board still has control as to what company ultimately does and doesn't do. Bottom line is that as usual corporate cheerleaders are jumping on rumors and speculation. It's a waste of time and thread space until the facts have been announced. I guess I shouldn't expect anything less from another opinion article.
