Speak out against Obama...and you're a racist.
Speak out about Homeland security laws...and you're a terrorist.
Speak out against 3D...and your a PS3 Hater.
Bring on some cross-platform games and then we will really see which one works best. A game like Vanquish would work as a good starting point.
Opinion =/= Truth
I think anyone with common sense can comprehend that.
Turner made blu-ray win. Nothing happened until they decided to pick one then it was a domino effect. People can early adopt all they want but nothing will go main stream until the non-gamers buy into it which at the current price tag for TVs AND glasses won't happen any time soon.
Does that mean you hate Sony also...or did you enjoy those rootkits?
How about Apple? What signal strength you reading on your Iphone now?
There are usually plenty of reasons to hate most companies...if that is what you are into of course.
What do you care? Your obviously not going to buy it. It's not like you are dropping $600 on a video game system. Why are you in this thread? Fighting the good fight in some imaginary war? So who is winning in this little world of yours?
You know...registering to these forums is free too. Just look at all the tools that decent people have to deal with on a daily basis.
Maybe instead of your poor example at screaming at the controller you do what they do out in the field...use hand gestures for signaling and direction.
Do you really think you are going to look any cooler flipping around a pink wand? This is what motion controllers are. If you are that concerned about how you look then I suggest to stick to regular controllers and let people more concerned about having fun have their fun. You don't like the tech then DON'T buy it. ESPN isn't keeping score of your imaginary Sony vs. MS battle so why waste your time.
Looks like Mr. Carmack is going to be able to add another exotic car to his collection next year. =)
While MS and Sony were talking crap to one another Nintendo sat back and let their show speak for itself. Well done.
The only way 3DTV will go mass market is for the engineers to get affordable sets out that DON'T require glasses. The price of the TV is only part of the problem. Most people will not want to shell out the extra $100 to $150 bucks each for extra sets of 3D glasses so that invited guests can also enjoy. If they were smart they would have made the TV's compatible with the 3D glasses they hand out currently at the movies. It would have given me a reason to start collecting them instead o...
You are aware that developers will be able to use Natal and regular controllers at the same time correct? Just because MS is using this "you are the controller" crap to sell to the casual market does not mean that developers are restricted from developing hybrid games. The only question is what they will be able to come up with seeing how there is some overhead involved. We will just have to wait and see.
One of the problems today is the fact that these companies have in way become proxy parents to some individuals. It is pretty evident with some of the comments that I have witnessed that this is the case. You speak ill of these "parents" and their corporate offspring will do their best to rain down fire (at least in their mind) upon you and then pat themselves on the back for some imagined "victory". Unfortunately for some this is the only means they have to define themsel...
How much are you going to spend if you want to play a boxing game with Sony's solution? You'll have to get the camera and 2 sets of wands...one for each hand.
I do agree that if MS is targeting the casual market then they are coming in too high. They need to keep the price of that bundle competitive with nintendo to have any chance of swaying casual sales to them.
Then stay the hell out of the thread. If you are not a MS supporter then why would you be in this thread other than to take shots. I am sure had this been Sony Move related your demeanor would have been far different.
If you don't have the ability to walk peacefully along the fence then stay on your own side...this would be a far better sight if EVERYONE could just manage that.
I do recall a number of positive articles in the past that referenced the cell and what supercomputers were doing. It generated the usual pom pom waving party and comments of how the PS3 is the most powerful thing on the planet. I didn't see any comments on how that wasn't related back then, but now the information is negative and everyone wants to cry fud and unrelated. Well...which is it?
A lot of serious programming went into it...should be amazing.
"save the ranchers for the 100th time could get tedious"
That is the beauty of the game...who ever said that you had to SAVE the ranchers? =]
If this was a Microsoft related article it would have lit up like a roman candle...EVIL MS...M$ Jerks...How dare they...blah blah blah. Yet Sony pulls something like this and we make excuses, deflect, call out trolling. You call one evil then you call BOTH evil cause as it was said earlier...they are both corporations looking for their next dollar. If you didn't have a dollar in your pocket they wouldn't give a damn about you...plain and simple. I think there are too many around here that tre...
'As with everything, people like to wait til the price drops i dont think the glasses have anything to do with it."
But that is just it...the glasses are $150 each and you usually only get 2 pair with a TV purchase. So if you are looking to entertain guests then you are shelling out another $300+ on average.
