I swear, reading comprehension is seriously going downhill. "Required to buy" does NOT mean "If you try to leave the store without these items you will die", it means, in order to have a comparable system with those components, you are required to buy add-ons. This issue has been blown way out of proportion by the anti-Sony crowd. I'm surprised they're so desperate.
I'd pay a buck for a decent demo, esp. pre-release. Man, some people are just cheap.
Looked like Joystiq to me.
Nice little assy "article" by an anti-Sony pVnk. Fangirls are taking over this site. Please, n4g.com, display some balls. All 3 (well, both...) sides are really getting annoying.
<edit:> Oh, no wonder. It was joystiq. That explains it. What a bunch of skirts.
And the planet you're living on is...?
Sorry, b'atch, 3rd person games might look a bit better than 1st person games. Fewer pixels to push. If you think GOW can compare to Resistance resource-wise...well...
Giving little tw@ts access to posting "news items" is really giving web "journalism" a bad name. My god. Maybe keyboards should be regulated. "Journalism" implies at least a bit of impartiality. This guy is an obvious wanker.
Yes, well, Gears Of War. It's a hell of a lot easier to throw detail into a 3rd-Person Shooter than a 1st-Person Shooter. If you can't figure that out, no wonder you're satisfied with GOW.
"At a fraction of the price." What unmitigated BS. Go back to sleep, Wally, you have pre-school to go to in the morning.
You little Star Trek-eating cupcakes are becoming far too defensive for your own good. If manufactured marginalization is all you have to live for...well, take the hint.
That's a neat device, but can the wireless module come into play for file transfers? I suspect most people have their boxes in different rooms.
You don't have Wi-Fi (not controllers...duh), unless you buy one after-box. You don't have HD movie support unless you buy one after-box. You don't have HDMI output, unless you buy a proprietary maybe-cable maybe-next-year after-box. Those were my points regarding your comment about "add-ons for the PS3". Capiche?
Here, have a free period: .
For storing gigs of movies, music, game content, demos... Yeah, you're right. No one needs more than 640K RAM either;) Way to think of the future.
What kind of add-ons? HDMI? HD movie player? A hard drive? A memory unit? Wireless? Oh yeah, I don't have to, they're already included out of the box.
Sorry, your argument doesn't hold any water. You don't have to stick with the Memory Stick if you don't want, as the PS3 model you'd use a Sony stick with also supports other, cheaper flash card formats.
Unprofessional article title. "Game Journalist"? Really?
"It was supposed to come out last spring." -- Not entirely correct. Only the Japanese launch was pushed back; the North American launch was as planned. Typical anti-Sony slant.
Of course it's preferable, but that doesn't mean bringing ports to the PSP is a bad thing. More ports = more games, more options. It doesn't prevent new games from being made.
Read the title on my original post. I was talking to Zonetrooper
"Required to buy" only means that in order to have that comparable system, with those features, you have to buy add-ons. You're all reading out of context.
