Anyway, we should keep in mind that the MS HD-DVD add-on is, as far as I know, has more actual HD-DVD hardware in it than the PS3 has BR hardware. The PS3 uses the Cell to decode BluRay streams, as opposed to a hardware decoder in a stand-alone unit. I wouldn't be surprised if the MS add-on was a better HD-DVD player than the PS3 is a BR player.
I'm just guessing about the HD-DVD add-on, though. It'd be interesting to...

My god, some gamers have trouble with reading comprehension. He did not say the decision to include BR in the PS3 was "overreaching", he was referring the the manufacturing/production numbers.
Some people need to put their controller down and pick up a book once in a while.

Sony BMG is independantly run. It's half-owned by Sony, but still a separate company. You wouldn't see SCE doing a mobile/non-PS game. SOE maybe, but not SCE.
You can't accurately compare GOS with Resistance. They're different games with different resource demands. You can afford a lot more when you're working with a third-person shooter than a first. Resistance has more breadth, while GOW has more detail. At any given moment GOW is going to look richer, more detailed. I personaly like Resistance because I want an FPS. I'd take GOW anyday for it's style of gameplay, but it's an entirely different game. Compare it to MGS4, sure, but not Resis...
As the first PS3 FPS it's certainly on track to being well-received, and it'll be more than enough to keep people busy having fun.
The anti-Sony crowd will be left pretty much alone to slag the PS3 as much as they want unanswered. The rest of us will be too busy playing with our new toy to give a shyte.

True. I expect to see 9-10 on GameSpot, and they're usually more realistic with their reviews. Regardless, this is most likely going to be the top game of the year on any system.

Seeing as how they didn't have a final dev kit until recently, I don't expect this PS3 version to really shine. I'm sure it'll be servicable, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being food for the fanboy machine.
I certainly hope they've finished it! It was supposed to have gone gold a while ago, and it's due out soon. ;)
