I've got a suitable PC, but if he can't grasp the difference between PC and console gaming experiences, he's just way out of whack. There's a time and place (and cost!) for each.
Maybe he's just uncomfortable with the idea of having to peel his ass off his chair and go to another room to play a console game. (That ketchup-popsicle reference was unfortunately relevant, methinks.)
I love this guy's sh1t--so to speak--but he has to stop talking out of his stomach'...
So... your point is that this is the same situation as XBOX games being better than earlier-released PS2 games? Right?
The only comment of mine will be: You do not see the level of hate in the 360 games' SuckyRatings (Cough*bluedragon*cough*and*mo re*) that you do in PS3 game threads.
Everyone who ballyhooed certain 360 games that barely managed a 6-7 avg rating are suspiciously quiet in those threads, but strangely vocal in PS3 threads.
Why can't people be more positive in other platforms' threads? I was about to say "I Just Don't Get It..." but unfortunately, I do. ...
Sorry, Bladestar, but with the US's avg. download rate being .8Mbps or whatever it is, digital distribution is a *lot* further off that you might think. (Look it up. Even we (Canada) have a higher avg. rate.)
Nuh'gunna'happun, anytime soon.
$599 PS3&PSP Bundle, Xmas '08. I'd bet on that.
My wedding's on the 13th, so I'm not really going to be bothering with this until after the honeymoon. ;)
I'm pretty sure the previous 4.5 million was sold-through, and this 7 million to which you're referring is sold-to-retailers. Big diff.
Can't wait to see these. I loved TMB. I hope they include some lost cinematics too.
Old story. Already posted, with more details too.
I wanted this thing at first, but then I found out there are only a few buttons. To access other button functions, you have to hit a function-key key combo to re-map the existing ones. Not as convenient to use as the Sony remote. (Plus, I love the Bluetooth connection. I can control the PS3 from another room.)
I think the retro look suits it. Esp. with the 1960's-FutureRetro design of the PS3 itself.
Speaking of the PS3 design, the new high-end Bose entertainment unit looks awwwwfully familiar, eh?
I'm still trying to understand this mangled sentence:
"This test that under normal operating conditions with no external items inserted into places where they shouldnt be the PS3 consoles lives on thru anything that has been thrown at it."
Whoever wrote that should have all of his fingers broken, his computer destroyed, and be under strict orders on pain of death never to write anything ever again.
The Eye/game comes with a stand.
Oh, FCS, just *stop* with that schit. You have nothing to prove to Sony fanboys, and no hope of reaching any non-Sony fanboys, so really all you're doing is pulling a Mart by regurgitating out-of-context pretend quotes and quasi-numbers.
Let's just sum this up for everyone:
"My name is <insert name here> and I choose The <XXX> as my console because I prefer it over the others. Your choice might be fine for you, but since I am not you I chose another...
You do have a point: "Why should Sony cater to the lowest common denominator?"
Personally, as long as I have a few excellent games every few months, I'm happy. I'm not an A.D.D. kid who needs 3 different games a month to hold my attention. Since online gaming with tweentards isn't my thing (I prefer online PC FPSes), I do tend to lean towards Sony's up-and-coming offerings.
I'm in no rush, and Sony's in no rush. Hey, there are more than enough games...
I think it's someone's attempt at illustrating "Deep Throat" in the background.
Either that, or it's someone's parent trying to catch their kid in a PR0N room.
Ditto -- Canada, here (Toronto), and I'm shocked that IGN doesn't have at least one person in Home Beta. Kinda lame for a primary gaming news site.
(Oh boy, look at all the over-reporting on this one. Some of the fanboys even reported more than once.)
It's not fake. I watched the thread as it happened. He was just one over-excited kid who showed some bad judgement, as we all might have at his age. (He sounded young.)
He did manage a bit of a scoop on it, though.
Two words: NASCAR dev.
It's been said before, but bears repeating.
NASCAR dev.
Oh, sorry. Let's make that 3 words: EA NASCAR dev.
Oi.
MaddenKillZone 2009, baby! ;)
1080p with that amount of physics detail is unlikely at this point.
Maybe in a year or two, but seriously... If you're trolling: please stop it. If you're not, just relax and enjoy whatever the hell they manage to produce because it's going to be very, very sweet on both platforms.
