The funny thing is that I think every beta user's display has a brilliantly simple watermark on it. So, anyone capturing (even via camera) their screen has a unique mark on it to trace the origin. (Throw something into Photoshop and increase/decrease certain levels/channels to their min/max and you might see it.)
Hint: If you're a beta user, do *not* think you can sneak this stuff out. Just chill and enjoy your position as a tester. Let the media do their work without your he...
I'd buy that box. Seriously. I'd buy that *box*.
Sure, I have one of the first PS3s in my area, but I'd still kucf-ing buy that box. ;)
And quoting says:
"So, does Lost Planet hold up over a year later? I think so, though possibly only due to the lack of original Playstation 3 games."
So, does the review hold up? I think not, though only because I think plug-the-butt knows which way he swing-eth. His comment really makes no sense when you look at it. Really, read the review.
This is awful blogging at its best. Sure, the game/port/whatever may suck, but seriously... Get a jo...
They're saying "Some" because of idiots who will cry "Lies!11!!" later on, as is always the case when people don't think.
The 80GB will have the same compatibility as the current 80GB model, as they're just repackaging the system with new pack-ins. The 80GB model has about 85% compatibility, versus the 98-99% of the 60GB (according to Phil Harrison, may he rest in peace, er... Good luck, Phil!). That "Some" should be enough, esp. when what usually ...
I like this news:
"As has been announced previously, MGS4 will include a Metal Gear Online “Starter Pack.” If you can’t wait to try out MGS4, the good news is you don’t have to much longer. Those who pre-order the game will be guaranteed access to a multiplayer beta test for Metal Gear Online scheduled for late April."
Ah! It was changed when I first saw it. Never mind, then. ;)
What's with the fanboy twist on the title? Lame. Use original title in order not to deceive.
Is this similar in concept to Folklore? I've only read a little about it and it sounds familiar. I actually liked the demo for Folklore, but it wasn't a game I wanted to invest the time into. At least not yet.
I actually got the hang of the controls after an hour or two of playing, but after a couple more hours realized that Lair's problems go much deeper. The game is fundamentally flawed from a design perspective, though certainly not enough to warrant a "4/10". I could understand a 6/10 as a middling score, but it's not an utter failure. It had its moments, it just had a disproportionate amount of frustrating moments.

I have the Timesplitters series, and am looking forward to TS4. That's more than enough "Goldeneye" for me.
It looks fantastic for an updated game. Very cool. Now, is it confirmed for release, or is the article going to be a retrospective-on-what-if as has been suggested on NeoGAF? Rumours were that the article was only previewing the game that was canceled.
This is ludicrous.
These petitions are nothing more than the virtual equivalent of juvenile foot-stomping temper tantrums.
Grow up and wait.
I've been in the beta since it started, and trust me when I say you're not missing a lot. Sure, what it has is great, and it's come a long way since day-1, but if you're complaining now, you'd be complaining a lot more after you got in. It'll be ready when it's ready.
Black splotches aren't anything new. My site uses a similar style of 'bleeding ink' and I designed it years ago. Not going to sue anyone. :)
MSNbc... Hmm.
Insomniac still hasn't clarified exactly how this will be implemented. The only information is that it will be some sort of squad-based interplay over large battlefields in order to prevent players (hardware??) from being overwhelmed.
Whether or not this means all 60 players can converge on the same point at the same time remains to be seen.
Still, for now it's "60-player multiplayer".
Ah-ha! I called it in the other Toshiba thread. So much for those disagrees I got. ;)
I'm leaning towards...yes, July '08.
With the recent news of how far along the project is at this date, that Insomniac has an unusually swift beta duration track record, and that a fall with both KZ2 and R2 would just be too tight... Yeah, I would love to believe this.
Then again if KZ2 is indeed pushed to '09, maybe the 0708 date is in fact for a public beta.
Any other conspiracy theories? :)
Yeah, "next November" doesn't mean "this November". I think it's probably a translation issue, or just a poor choice of words.
I'm glad Logitech brought this one out. I didn't like what I had read about the earlier silver non-Pro model.
This might be a good alternative to the twice-as-expensive Edge.
Very good news. I can't wait for that to come to the North American PSN.
Colony Wars, GREAT!
Now, I want Silent Bomber. They promised it, but it's yet to arrive here. Grrr.
