I hope they add a co-op horde mode, but I doubt that's realistically going to happen.
YES! OMG!!! YES!!! My hype level just got upgraded to MAX!
That trailer was awesome. I think it's definitely the best one of the SoulsBourne series of games. Thank goodness we've only got 2 weeks to wait for Sekiro. I think FROMSOFT have most likely got another epic on their hands
They've definitely got pedigree that's for sure.Hopefully they really do get the freedom to "challenge convention". I'm not convince that their "parent company" is into taking that kind of creative risks though. I do hope I'm wrong though - especially with their "parent company" wanting gamepass on all platforms.
Can we just let men be men. And stop trying to find spurious reasons why masculinity is suddenly a bad thing. Why do we have to redefine "gender norms". By all means diversify - if a woman wants to join the army and risk her life for her country. Fine no problem at all. But don't try and say there is some thing "abnormal" about a man wanting to join the army and take risks. There is nothing wrong with that "gender norm". If men like a certain type of video ga...
What's there to be sceptical about? It's not like Sony are saying the game will be the next "revolution of gaming technology" or anything like that. It's basically a story based "zombie" open world game with a dynamic horde ecosystem.
Nothing wrong DLC in general, it depends on what the content is. It could be cosmetics, it could extra missions, it could be a full on story expansion or maybe even a co-op mode. We have no idea to be able to pass judgement one way or another.
That was actually a great interview, very informative questions. If it's not story DLC.I wonder if it's just cosmetics, or maybe extra side missions? In any case I can't wait.
Got mine pre-ordered. I can't wait.
I pre-order when I want to support a developer and their game. When a developer/publisher is not worth supporting with my money, I dont buy their game at all, not just on "day 1".
Ofcourse it's a choice, what else would it be? Microsoft is going all-in when it comes to cross platform streaming across multiple devices. So you can go get all you cross play needs over there. I don't understand why we're all voting for homogeneity. I thought diversity, variety and competition were good things in the gaming industry.
@L7CHAPEL
The type and style of game is irrelevant. You first need to understand this.
It also has nothing to do with console preference and fanboy wars. Those are all red herrings.
Read this slowly - at the point of it's release - the game needs to NOT BE BROKEN!
It does not matter what console it has released on, or what genre, or what game model, or what publisher is releasing the game - it needs to NOT BE BROKEN at the point of r...
This was exactly my first thought. Colour me cynical but I really do wonder if they'll still be MTX in Sekiro, and if that's the real reason for Activisions day 1 review embargo on the game.
Too little, too late? I think most of the BR crowd are already in Apex Legends, or fortnight, or PUBG, or H1Z1, or Realm Royal or.....
Ok I'll stop now.
If you expect people to she'll out $60 for your game on day 1, then it better be worth the asking price regardless of the game model - GaaS, singleplayer, multiplayer or other. The problem is not the issue of "modern reviews", the issue is the release of broken and incomplete games at the ppint of launch. It is this practice that needs to stop.
That's a bit rich coming from Eurogamer, they have been the ones who consistently maligned Days Gone from teh very startt. They literally did not have one impressions article that was even nearly positive. They wrote off Days Gone from the 2016 reveal. Good to see that now they're being served crow though.
I think you mean Sam Whitwer - https://www.youtube.com/wat...
Wow! That's some high praise coming from Polygon. This game will be surprise hit... as expected from Sony.
You would have thought that EA/DICE would have released Firestorm BEFORE Apex legends released. I'm just not sure Firestorm will have any real impact whenever they finally decide to release it. A complete waste of Criterion Studios talents if you ask me.
Hmm... interesting that this is being officially hosted by PlayStation. I wonder if they've entered a new advertising partnership. CDPR are definitely one of my favourite devs - I've played all the Witcher games, but a partnership with Sony may be a sign of things to come - especially with regards to the marketing of Cyberpunk 2077.
@Nyxus
Exactly.
The whole narrative that "single player games are dying" was simply corporate bullcrap to justify nickel and diming gamers with multiplayer only games with microtransactions and lootboxes.
