In the days of ME 1- 3 microtransactions and loot boxes where not a thing. I remember the huge backlash Bioware/EA got with the on-disc ME3 dlc. I don't think I have ever read a more disingenuous damage-control piece of shill journalism in my life. I doubt the game will satisfy EA's bottom line. I don't know what their sales projections are for the game but it'll be intersting to see if Anthem hits it's targets. I hope it doesn't, so it sends a message that 'cheap' loot/grind shooters are not the way. I just don't undertand why EA, having the star wars licence don't give it to Bioware to make a great Star Wars game. Mass Effect is one of the greatest sci-fi series in gaming - it should be a match made...
I really don't understand why EA can't just inspire it's devs to make a great game first. It always has to be monetisation first. That's never going to equate to a great game, because you have to leave the heart and soul of what a great game is on the cutting room floor, and replace it with cheap tricks for mtx. For Biowares' sake I hope Anthem doesn't fail - but dear Lord I hope it's not succesful enough to warrant more of this loot shooter gimmikery.
I had the exact same sentiment. However after long sessions with Destiny and the Division I've come to realise that he game won't be tailored for a singleplayer experience by design, and this can lead to all sorts of issues when you start to get in the late game rainds and bosses etc. I'll probably either sit this one out cfor now and wait until the first few months before diving in.

Yeah I got the avatar from Sony, but it's a bit late now. I mean, I Platinumed that game like 2 weeks after it was out. Rewards like these are great, but they shouldn't be an after thought, as it looses it's impact what 5 months after release.
Not every game is "flawed". Every game has limitations, and not every game is perfect - but that does not automatically equate to a 'flaw'.
