It would be very interesting to know how the cordycepts infection has affected Ellie. Is she faster, and stronger now, does she have acute hearing now. Heck does she make clicking sounds?! Or is she instead degenerating in other ways.
I don't think Ellie will die at the end of Part 2. If anything, I think Joel is the one who would sacrifice himself to let Ellie live. At this stage I'm willing to bet that there will be a Part 3, and it is likely there that the story ...

I loved the Fall, and I would encourage everyone to get it (it's quite cheap now) and can be completed in relatively short period of time (5-6hrs probably) Definitely worth checking out.

I love story and story-telling in games. Most of the highest ranking games, and those deemed to be classics have great stories. Now saying that, gameplay also has to be top-notch!
I'm really surprised that Eve Valkyrie and Battlezone aren't on that list. They are really quite good.
RE7 Gold Edition is awesome when it comes to replay value. I've probably spent more time in the DLC than in the main game. Definitely worth the purchase.

When it comes to addiction, it's really a question of which came first, the addictive personality, or the addictive thing (i.e game). Personally I don't think there's any such thing as an addictive game though, simply because if you get a random sample of people, not all of them will become addicted to games - but only those who have a predilection towards gaming; and even then only those who have an addictive personality, or other predisposing personality trait.
I'm loving Resident Evil VII, I got the gold edition, and I have to say I'm loving the DLC. I did not expect to be spending so much time playing the DLC over the main game. Definitely worth the GOTY.
Good video games are much more immersive that books or films. I know they sit somewhere in the middle, and personally I love all three, but by far I have spent more time playing video games than with any other entertainment medium (except music, I probably spend more time listening to music than all three genres combined... but I digress:)
