the simple, instant sharing/recording/streaming of gameplay is a nice feature.
true there are plenty of streaming sites you can use on your PC, but the PS4 makes it simple, quick, efficient and more social.
and of course, a PS4 will be worth it for the exclusives (which make it a must own), non PC multiplats, and PSN games
there is no dichotomy of "graphics or gameplay." plenty of games have both. for instance, something like farcry 3, which plays as good as it looks.
greater tech allows for more possibilities. games like just cause 2, god of war 3, uncharted 2, mass effect, mirror's edge, demon souls and virtually every other great game this gen could not have been accomplished on a PS2/xbox/gamecube
I would sure as hell prefer console companies focusing on enhan...
funny. becuase those consoles were pretty much sold out their first 6 months, going for insane mark-ups on ebay and other sites.
the wii u, on the other hand, is piled up in every store you go to and demand is dead in the water. the fact that they are already talking about a price cut, 4 months into the console's life (while its already pretty cheap) should be big indication that the wii u does not have as bright of a future as those consoles.
an 8 core CPU is not "low end." period
when i saw the title, for a second I thought it was a twisted metal spin-off
if they advertise the hell out of the gameplay streaming features and sharing, it will sell like hotcakes
some people just cant handle a real challenge these days
obviously the 3DS is a device marketed primarily to children, and of course most of them wont meet the criteria of "hardcore." that is simply the demographics.
in a market sense nintendo handhelds are a well-respected well-trusted brand of toys.
there is no way they will unveil and release the console within the same few months. that is absurd.
especially considering the fact they are likely making alterations, after seeing the PS4 conference.
it is entirely likely the next xbox will launch after the PS4. it doesnt seem like microsoft is ready yet.
you use "weaker" very dishonestly. The NES, PS1 and PS2 were NOT an entire generation behind, like the wii u is. in fact, those consoles all carried some of the best looking games of their generations. any graphical advantages the opposing consoles had were minor at best, irrelevant at worst.
the only 2 times that a console has been released which is a full generation behind it's opponents are the wii and wii u.
before you assume the wii u is ...
fake. we have seen that before. its not a console
also, the facebook page says "the official fanpage"
ah man. I remember maxing out everyone's levels, getting the ultima weapons, beating the hades cup time trial, fighting the kurt zisa and clocktower phantom, finding all the dalmations, beating sephiroth and the ice titan.
kingdom hearts is just one of those games you have to complete 100%
during the holidays, the wii u will be kicked into total irrelevancy. as the PS4 and 720 "wow" audiences with their innovative graphics, games, features, and online, the wii u will be trailing behind, barely catching up to current gen, and pumping out the same milked franchises we have played a dozen times over.
nintendo messed up. they should have waited a year, beefed up the hardware, and got more third parties on board. I guess they expected the casuals to carry...
ever since the pre rendered cutscenes of FFX and kingdom hearts, I have dreamed of a day when those kinds of visuals would be in-game footage. I think that day is getting close.
if you watch developer commentaries you can see how improvements in tech can broaden potential and lift limitations. gameplay mechanics and level design are intertwined with the power of the system.
specs always have and always will matter.
of course, since the pong days, there have been shortsighted people saying "this is as good as it's gonna get." they are always wrong as each gen offers new possibilities and new ways to expand the gaming experience.
really, if you want video streaming services, you could buy a roku box for a 5th of what you would pay for a 720, without any yearly fees.
so if that is your reason for supporting xbox, that is flatout retarded
it would be one thing if you were talking about online features that were actually pertinent to games and the gaming community, but I guess you cant do that, since the PS4 has all those bases covered this time around.
i think this is r...
sorry. I buy a console for games. not for cablebox services.
besides, netflix and hulu are more than enough for me.
if all the good games arent coming until the holidays of 2013, what was the point of launching in 2012?
this was a rushed job. we can see it in both software and hardware
Nvidia have been a bunch of crybabies lately. what is their problem?
they seem pretty bitter, that sony chose AMD over them
