this last nintendo direct proved this. nintendo is focusing all their attention on the 3DS while leaving wii u owners high and dry
just look at mario party and mario golf on the 3DS. those are party games and they belong on a home console much more so than a handheld.
if nintendo is really that apathetic about supporting the wii u, they should just stick to handhelds
that's because they probably don't intend on retiring the PS3 any time soon.

killzone still has the best cover system of any FPS out there. Also they are improving the already top tier melee system. all the killzone games bring unique, powerful gunplay and this one is no exception. not to mention the fact that shadowfall is massively different, stylistically, than the other games.
it must be an easter egg for something. why would it be 2013? that doesnt seem coincidental.
I refused to play any more until they fix the treasure of the gods glitch. opening 30 chests and getting absolutely nothing? I just cant take that. it just irritates me to no end.
true I could just not go for the chests but being forced to ignore these shiny, tempting boxes? that just pisses me off even more.
I think most of the people whining about killzone probably havent even played any of the games. or they played 2 minutes of one of them (probably online and got their a** kicked).
killzone is a quality series with a unique universe, great mechanics, great gunplay, great visuals, and great multiplayer. there is nothing to hate about this series. it is among the best out there.

the wii u sold less than that (in the 30K range), weekly, for 10 weeks in a row. it escaped it for 2 weeks at the end of march and now it is already back to selling sub 50K per week

price is not the sole, or even the primary, reason why the wii sold as well as it did. it was casual appeal. motion controls were a worldwide sensation for those first few years. everyone and their grandma bought a wii for it.
imagine if the wii did not have motion controls. do you honestly think it would have sold what it did, just...

no one cares about that touch screen controller. it has yet to contribute anything substantive to games, even when developers focus on it and really try their best to implement it.

this is another part of making it developer friendly. make all the components well balanced, so they dont have to worry about one or two holding them back.
you would have to be totally insane to think that the PS4 is going to be less successful than the PS3 and that it will have an equally difficult launch.
the gloves are off this time. there is no handicap. the other consoles don't stand a chance. nintendo and M$ arent going to get away with the same crap they pulled last gen. the king is back.

in other words, the first party devs at nintendo do not have the resources to single-handedly give proper support to both a handheld and a console at the same time.
This is why third party support is needed. otherwise, once again, there will be massive game droughts on the wii u.
