actually, when you think about it, the "souls" games are essentially survival horror games in a fantasy setting. I have always insisted this.
there is some pretty horrific stuff in them and they are bleak as hell.
- low resources
- intense difficulty
- a dark, brutal tone
it is survival horror. plain and simple
sony already has that covered

the lowest the PS3 ever sold in a single week was around 50,000. the wii has sold less than that (mainly in the 30s) for 12 weeks this year. and still going.
also, even at it's worst, the PS3 had more third party support than the wii u has now. and we all knew third party support would improve.

i liked the move on the PS3. in its first 2 years it was putting out more games than the wii was at the time.
but I think its time to put away motion controls for a while. I think we need to hang up the gimmicks. they have run their course. the motion control craze is gone.

last I checked, this game was not coming to next gen consoles. its coming to the PS3, Xbox360, and wii u. all of which running at 720P and 30 frames per second.

nintendo is totally out of touch with what hardcore gamers want in a home console (online, third party support, new mature IPs). and they dont have casuals to save them, this time.
they just need to stick to handhelds. they are a trusted brand in that department and there is financial security there. plus, all their main franchises can easily be accomplished on a handheld at this point
