If this pulls an Eternal Sonata, then it will be as good as exclusive since the Ps3 version was only published in Japan, hence, the English version was only available in the Xbox 360.
I see that the reason why you need all those vehicles is because the worlds are HUGE, which is a good thing. I'm much more interested in this game now. Way to go RARE!
Disc Swapping or Game Installations?
Both consoles got it not completely right. While the Ps3 has the space, the Xbox 360 has the speed. None of them have them both and users need to sacrifice either time and hard disc space or comfortability.
There's seriously nothing to brag or laugh about here.
It catches my attention that the Ps3 list is populated by many multiplatform (also on Xbox 360) but those didn't make it to the Xbox 360 list because there are many exclusives that raise more interest from the public.
This alone, says a lot about what's coming in the rest of the year. MS looks in a good position for 2008 second half.
This is a rather medium sized update... or say minor compared to what they're aiming at with HOME.
Them having such serious trouble with this update doesn't really give much confidence about the Home deployment. Uhm...
This is probably the best Sony will do in the year. After E3 2008, Microsoft will have plenty of exclusive releases and most likely a new price drop, which Sony doesn't seem in position to perform.
The first half of the year was positive for Sony, but the most important half will begin with E3.
There's no action game with better fight mechanics than Ninja Gaiden II. DMC4 and God of War might have better storytelling and higher production values, but when it comes to gameplay and combat, Ninja Gaiden II obliterates them all.
There's so much difference in lightning and overall detail that answering you is almost worthless.
It's difficult to think of a game with more detail than Gears of War. Now after this comparison, it's clear that Gears 2 will rise the bar even higher.
This is where Microsoft varied library starts to diferentiate itself from the competition.
Every single important 3rd party title is here. Add to this 2 pretty Japanese jRPGs fashionably releasing worldwide and one Action/RPG also exclusive to the console and we're talking about a very strong lineup. Much stronger than the competition's in this period due to the inclusion of exclusive titles.
Are we comparing Arcade Games now in order to create a pro Ps3 article?
Come on guys...
Good selection of multiplatform games.
While there are a couple of important titles for Holydays, I still have my doubts about them being enough to counter the competition.
Notice he didn't say lineup in general, but for 2008.
He's probably talking about a 2008 release of Halo Wars and/or Splinter Cell, Alan Wake.
This could also mean an unannounced game for this, which would be crazy but still a thin possibility. Either way, I'm hyped =)
Do you NEED to troll in every single Xbox related thread?
At least try to put your brain to work and write something worth reading, even if you don't agree with the article.
It happens that I mostly agree with him. Except from Mirror's Edge being first, Fable 2 and Gears of War 2 are definetly, the hottest 1st party titles for this year.
All the Top 5 games are on Xbox 360. 2 of them Exclusives.
Looks tlike Microsof has all chances to conquer E3 this year.
For what has been shown, the PS3 is having serious trouble handling Bioshock. So I believe a nice list could be made the other way.
By the way, this article fails. Who said Gran Turismo 5 runs at 1080p?
It doesn't. It runs at half that resolution, being hardware scaled later.
MGS4 could both be only the beginning or a rare jewel in a sea of rough stones.
I'm saying this because, for what has been shown, I'm having a hard time figuring out which could be the next Triple A title for the playstation 3.
Now, Ps fans will disagree with me, and will tell you that I honestly don't post anything unless I've given it quite some thought. For example, Resistance 2. Whoever says it's shaping as a triple A title in its current form it vastly biased. T...
How many people have reviewed those games?
I don't see many masterpieces PS3 RPGs on Metacritic.
This is probably the worst timing ever to draw such a conclusion.
From the beginning of the year, we all knew Sony had its biggest release for the first half of the year. However, thinking that Resistance 2 or LBP will have the same impact on gamers as MGS4 has a very distorted perception of things.
On the other hand, Xbox 360 biggest exclusives and announcements have been saved for an AFTER E3 (full) unveil, so it's naive to say "Microsoft has lost significant ...
