Adding to the great Xbox 360 lineup, it seems that Peter Molyneux has truly delivered with Fable 2 this time.
Edge are tough reviewers but LittleBigPlanet has that anti-cinical element that would get good reviews from those like this publication. It's much tougher for an ambitious game like Fable II to get a 9 than for a platformer to get a 10 in EDGE. If not, just check their reviews of Bioshock. Simple seems to be the word and satisfy them the most.
All in all, bot...
Halo and COD4 killer?
In short. No.
In not too short, Hell No!
Good Numbers. The Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 by a 50% margin.
This reflect the impact of the price cut in the console. Things will be much more interesting in October's NPD when titles like Fable II are released.
In the software arena, the Xbox 360 was the clear dominant, with 4 titles in the Top 10, including the first place, 4 Wii titles and just 1 PS3 Title.
Specially interesting is that the only PS3 title in the top software list (Star Wars) was double...
Metal Gear Solid 4 would be just the tip of the iceberg. Sure it would be a very welcome title just like Bioshock has been for the PS3 but the critical matter here is that IF Metal Gear Solid 4 finds its way into the Xbox 360, the sales number will make the chances of a Metal Gear Solid 5 exclusive to the Playstation 3 remote.
The article also mentions "The end of 3rd party exclusives" as if it applied to the whole generation. This is true to an extent. However, from t...
They don't even have a source. How are they dismissing a Konami's rep. declaration?
:S
So this unknown publication is dismissing a Konami rep himself?
What the...
Metal Gear Solid, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Halo 3 and all the big ones were around 96-97% in the first day.
After a while, scores tend to decrease so we can't compare LBP scores with others until more reviews surface.
They really pusehd it to make it 10.
I can't believe they included MGS4... once again.
To "rule" you need to beat your oponents, and from that list, there are many I wouldn't count:
Bioshock: More than 1 year on Xbox 360.
Home: Question here: Is it 100% confirmed that it will hit this year?
Killzone 2: It will NOT come out this year :S
Blu-ray movies: It depends what market you're talking about.
PlayStation Network Video...
White knight chronicles (Good)
Mirror edge dlc (DLC ...? )

God of war 3 (Good)
MAG (Nobody knows a thing but numbers about this game)
killzone 2 (Gameplay and design still being questioned)
White knight chronicles (Listed twice. Clever huh?)
The agency (Also on PC... stupid huh?)
Free realms (Technically at least, this game looks aged)
Quantom theory (Coming from TECMO, a company in deep trouble, I wouldn't expect much)
Is Sony doesn't release a massive list of Triple A games, there will be no way to compete with Microsoft in terms of library. Just take a look at what Redmond has on hands, and I will NOT mention unknown-mediocre titles like everyone else to fill a list, triple a promises only here:
1. Alan Wake
2. Mass Effect 2
3. Bioshock 2 (most likely)
4. Forza Motorsport 3
5. Halo Wars
6. Halo Recon
7. Star Ocean (Timed? but still exclusive)
8. Splin...
9.2 is a great score.
I think the problem are more the excessively enthusiastic PS fans who expected MGS4-level reviews.
It looks good but that comparison to Gears of War 2 killed it. The best shots aren't in game and while it's kinda rich in color it's pretty average in overall detail.
An exclusive by TECMO at this moment, shouldn't be something to be too excited about, remember the company is in big financial and legal trouble now.
I have a hard time thinking of any Sony Executive yawning at this. Microsoft has secured every important 3rd party exclusive out there with the exception of Metal Gear Solid. This is the strawberry on top of the icecream.
Come on, with all the support Namco has been giving to MIcrosoft it would've been impossible to think of an exclusive Tekken 6.
Excellent news whatsoever, Microsoft keynotes always have some megatons here and there.
PS2 did kick ass last gen but not due to 1st party exclusives alone but mostly for 3rd party support. Titles like Final Fantasy, Tekken, Dragon Quest, Devil May Cry, GTA (timed) and others skyrocketed the console. This time around, the situation is deeply different.
@ morganfell:
Negative. The PS3 is NOT outselling the Xbox 360 worldwide. Actually, the Xbox 360 has outsold the PS3 in every major territory in September, including Japan. Think about it.
And tomorrow, one of the usual kids with blogs/cheap websites will write "Why having a PS3 is Living in Heaven"... Oh, and it will be hot in N4G.
It's getting harder to find worth reading sources in this generation.
How is a Youtube video "Stunning" for a HD Game?
Now this is getting ridiculous by PS fans and their titles...
According to the Article, the Best versions are:
Soul Calibur: Xbox 360 Reason: Higher Res, Better Lightning.

Guitar Hero Aerosmith: Xbox 360 Reason: Higher Res, Better Refresh Rate
Beijing: Xbox 360 - Reason: Many, i.e. Higher Rest, AA (absent of PS3)

This is exactly what the article say:
"Put simply, the graphics in the PS3 version of BioShock are sh#t; in a less harsh tone, they’re disappointing to say the least. Visually, it looks as though the entire game was rendered at a lower resolution and then upscaled."
Pretty tough. I didn't think the technical problems of the PS3 version were that big.
