This certainly isn't anything like Ego Draconis. I'm guessing they're going to try that again as well though. If there is anything that dragon commander proves, it is that they're not scared to go different directions within the Divinity world.
HD6950 with a 2500k, just wondering if the mantle upgrade is only for newer cards
I agree, if purely for the Shivering Isles expansion. I choose that expansion over Oblivion and Skyrim.
Sort of in doubt whether there is sarcasm in your post or not?
I'm just thinking that all of this probably won't support my relatively old set-up.
Did you try the first one (Divine Divinity). I didn't find that one lacking. I can agree that Beyond Divinity, Divinity 2 and Dragon Commander had some issues, but DD was excellent.
Are you sure you didn't get banned for writing incomprehensible sentences?
The fact that they included Divinity: OS, in the week after they previewed the Alpha is making me pretty excited.
Most of the other games in these list are there based on the fame of the IP, the studio or the promises that have been made.
Rather play a great 8h game than a less compelling 100h one. But what makes, a game great is different to everyone. A lot of people play pokemon games to literally collect all the pokemons. The great thing about those games is that you don't have to.
When sidemissions are a bigger part of the story than the main story, for me, we've got a problem. I don't even remember the main story in Skyrim, all the sidemissions made the game feel scattered to me. (at least in Morrowind the main story changed the world in some ways, it made you remember)
With the combo of gun/sword and the idea of involving inventors, I was thinking about Napoleon's France. But they probably don't wanna loose the ships tho.
It's not just a game, it's a role playing game. If the choices you make don't influence the outcome then what's the role-playing aspect? They don't include multiple endings for replayability, but so that your choices matter.
Users replaying to get all the endings are doing it wrong: completionism is NOT role-playing.
Third time I read this article in this past week, on three different sites. So no new details there.
It'd be nice to play the game when you're actually hyped for it tho. I was getting hyped for it when I first heard if it, and now I'm a little less hyped already, and by the time it actually comes I'll have heard too much about it, and it'll be (a little) less fun.
Short answer, no it is not as simple as consoles. It's not rocket science, but it's not as simple.
I don't want to see a 400$ rig at all. Anyone who has a console also has a laptop or pc (probably one over 400$). The whole thing about pc gaming is that you don't start from scratch every 7 years or so, and that you don't just use it for gaming.
Console vs pc discussions should always include the cost of your other digital equipment.
If you have a 400$ console and a 400$ computer, than you'd have to compare with an 800$ gaming pc.
So simcity was out too then?
Metro LL was in my opinion a really good game. Different enemies with different approaches, sneaking parts, parts with the light and only getting nightvision later on, the battery and the airfilters + a pretty decent story with a likeable alien.
Investing in a Titan, is a waste if you use it for gaming. Wait for the 780ti.
800 is not a small number tho. I'm a pc gamer, and I sure can't afford it (can't afford a console either) so I hope they keep it accessible for lower end pc's too.
You'll have to wait for the Witcher en Kingdom comes for your third person itch. Still, not bad games to wait for...
