Then again Morrowind was a better game than Skyrim too. I'd still pick Morrowind over TW2.
I'm happy about the multi-regions tho, it always gives a sense of progress (whereas openworld often feels like your impact is somewhat limited).
Unfortunately, learning curves and the Witcher don't have the best track record.
Because it would be profitable. The amount of work it takes to port the pc version to next gen (or vice versa) is greatly reduced thanks to the new architecture. Just doing pc (or just doing consoles) would be like burning money.
Let's not make this a pc-console thing. PC gamers don't care if it comes to next gen, and probably vice versa. Let's just hope they optimize and maximize whatever hardware they port it to.
Just because I can't do cosmetic surgery doesn't mean I can't see when a facelift is horrible. I was the first to spew positive garbage when origins came out, call it like I see it.
Liking DA2 for what it was, is liking it for being a rushed, dumbed down game.
You can like turd for being a turd, but not when you paid good money expecting a chocolate cake (because the first cake was delicious and they promised this one would be even better).
Unless they find a way to fix the motion sickness, the only level it will take my gaming is the one where the toilet is.
It was faster, but personally I liked it better before. DA2 combat felt very consoley, which is great if you're a consoleplayer, but if you're into tactical pc rpg's less so...
edit: yeah smileys, happy times :)
"The Dragon Age series has gotten so much stronger since Dragon Age: Origins in 2010."
If there ever was a need for a disagree with article button, this would be it. How, just tell me how, has the superficiel insult to rpg-gaming that was DA2 made the series stronger?
"This is the 3rd installment of the franchise, and it picks up from Dragon Age 2 in terms of the action and overall tone."
If this is true, I won't be bu...
Obviously PC and next-gen will release at the same time. Releasing at different times would double the publishing and distribution costs without bringing extra revenue.
way to not take the bait and strike back with an equally ignorant comment.
@vish
Kinda what I meant with my response to arexw, GTAIV was badly ported. Doesn't mean it's a good idea to start using words with *'s and talking about consoles having superior games. That's just asking for it.
Let's see how well it's ported before starting to dish out the anti-console comments. A good gaming machine doesn't necessarily mean a good gaming experience. (and I'm not willing to wait another couple of months for modders to fix it)
Obviously Call of Halo: Fallout Warfare, with protagonist Lara Croft, and developed by Naughty Dog.
For those who can afford it. Mantle technology seems like the kind of thing that'll trickle down to AMD's core audience rather fast: not the best, but the best for your money. I think by the time my 6950 is done for, this might be a reason to go amd. In any way, improvement on either brand pushes the other one to innovate, so hurray!
You're probably right. Can't imagine why anyone would be concerned with having a female perspective. If he doesn't want it, he can pick a male character.
Why is including a female perspective necessarily for politial correctness? Isn't it just a form of customization, like choosing a race or a haircut?
There is still a market for a great single player experience. RPG's like DA Origins, Dark Souls, Skyrim and The Witcher series prove that. They obviously need both single and multiplayer games. Divide and conquer! (and don't dumb down)
Sure the 'no more re-used locations' and 'full armour slots for companions' will be answered. But there is still some (a lot of) doubt about the isometric tactical view (not that it's there, that it's any good); character customization options; amount and balance of spells, talents and specialisations; hacknslash sped up, or tactical BG2 combat.
The reason for that is obviously DA2, but not just that. Its being made for XBone, PS4, PS3, 360 and only la...
Freedom, customization, the comments by many that they liked the DA2 gameplay more... There is plenty to be worried about. Let's hope they realize I want my own character and not a fantasy Shepard. That's what I'm most worried about.
I think they got the message about the freedom after the sh*ttsunami that hit them after DA2 so that should be fine.
If TW2 is any indication, a big one. And especially if you've got an amd gpu (like me).
